The Kent State Golden Flashes have been known to cover the number in recent meetings against the Ohio Bobcats, as the two teams prepare to face off Tuesday night. Our handicapper shows us the most profitable college football odds for our sports picks.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football betting lines for this Mid-American Conference matchup at Peden Stadium, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Back in the win column

Kent State snapped a five-game losing streak in picking up a 24-6 victory over the Miami OH RedHawks as 19.5-point home favorites last Wednesday, while going UNDER the betting total for a second consecutive contest.

The Golden Flashes are 11-2 SU/ATS off a win against a conference rival the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 8-5 in that situation.

Forgettable road trip

Ohio returns home after dropping back-to-back road games versus MAC foes, including a 49-0 setback to the Bowling Green Falcons as 8.5-point underdogs last Tuesday, while losing the statistical battle by a triple-digit yardage margin in both of those affairs.

The Bobcats are still bowl eligible for a fifth consecutive season, but they’ve gone 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS when playing on this particular day of the week since 2011.

Win the ground battle

College football handicappers need to take a long look at the road underdog in this affair, as the Golden Flashes have won 13 of their last 15 games when outrushing their opponent.

Kent State outgained Ohio by 100 yards on the ground in last year’s 28-6 win as 9.5-point home favorites.

The program ran the ball 46 times for 300 yards in Week 12.

There’s no place like home

The Bobcats have won four of their five home games this season—outscoring opponents by an average of 13.8 points.

Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton has compiled a 24-12 overall record during his time on campus, but the program is just 8-9 ATS at this venue over the last two-plus seasons.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Golden Flashes for their college football picks, as they’ve gone 4-0 ATS in the last four overall meetings in this series.
