The Oklahoma Sooners have been known to bounce back after tasting defeat, as they prepare to host the Iowa State Cyclones Saturday. Where have we decided to place our college football picks in that matchup, and at what price?

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds for this Big 12 Conference matchup at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, with the opening kickoff scheduled for Noon EST on Fox Sports 1.

A tough spot

Iowa State is looking to put an end to its six-game losing streak, but the program is 5-70-2 SU all-time in this series, including a 3-36-1 mark when playing on the road.

The Cyclones have lost 14 games in a row against the Sooners, while they’ve dropped eight of their last nine opportunities versus Top 25 opponents.

Senior Day

A total of 17 players will be honored on Oklahoma’s Senior Day, as the group has compiled a 39-10 record dating back to 2010, while it looks to bounce back from its second loss this season.

The Sooners dropped a 41-12 decision to the Baylor Bears as 17-point road underdogs on Nov. 7—getting outgained by a sizable 222-yard margin.

Battle on the ground

College football handicappers need to realize that the Cyclones are 1-13 SU under head coach Paul Rhoads when allowing 200-plus rushing yards in a game, as they prepare to face a Sooners attack that ranks second in the Big 12 in averaging 217.7 yards on the ground.

Iowa State is 3-27 SU on the road versus AP Top 25 foes since Bob Stoops took over at Oklahoma in 1999.

40 is the key number

The Sooners have won 78 of 79 games under Stoops when scoring 40 or more points—a number that could easily be reached with the Cyclones ranking 112th in the country in allowing 37.8 points per game.

Oklahoma has won 30 consecutive regular season games following a regular season loss.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Sooners with their college football picks, as they’ve gone 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games following a SU loss.
