The Seminoles invade The Swamp looking to keep their perfect season intact. While the disappointing Gators strive for a win over their intrastate rivals. Which team Has the right betting odds?

Florida State Seminoles (11-0 SU, 9-2 ATS)

FSU is poised for a date in the National Championship Game with the Crimson Tide of Alabama but before that can happen they need to take care of a few pieces of business starting with the Gators at noon time on ESPN. The Seminoles have been rolling over everyone and everything this season which is good news for those who have backed them in their NCAAF picks. FSU has covered in nine of their eleven games this season despite being tagged as double digit favorites in each and every game.

It's hard to imagine a more impressive performance by a college football team particularly when you consider that their closest game of the season was against Boston College where they were installed as 24 point road chalk and "only" won by a score of 48-34, failing to get the cover in college football odds but winning decisively nonetheless.

The 'Noles are second in scoring and second in points allowed yet remain number two in the country behind Alabama. That's what you get when you play in the ACC versus the legendary SEC. Pollsters simply aren't as impressed with the level of competition and that's why FSU has to take a backseat to the Tide despite dismantling a team like Clemson who was ranked third in the nation when the Seminoles took a road trip earlier this year and scalped the Tigers 51-14.

The other big Florida team will hit Pittsburgh~

Florida Gators (4-7 SU, 4-7 ATS)

It's been a dismal season for the Gators and head coach Will Muschamp who are enduring the first losing football season since the 1979 edition went 0-10 and to add insult to injury, lost last week for the first time in school history to an FCS team in Georgia Southern by the score of 26-20 as four touchdown favorites in NCAAF odds.

Certainly that loss was the low water mark in a season of low water marks. Their offense has been anemic all season, averaging a paltry 19.9 yards per game but their defense has been stout, surrendering 19.6 yards per contest which places them 16th in the nation. The Gators are down to their third-string QB and that chaotic shuffle has led to only 176 yards per game through the air while their ground game has not fared much better as they are currently 82nd in the nation in rushing yards.

Free Pick:

Let's not underestimate the rivalry between the two schools. It was only last season that the Gators pulled into Tallahassee and handed the 10-1 'Noles a 37-26 defeat in their own playground. But that was a much better Florida team than the putrid edition that will take the field this week. Certainly you will hear the pundits try to make a case for Gator pride in the wake of their stunning defeat to Georgia Southern and the natural rivalry between the two schools but hear this and hear it clearly - these Gators are atrocious.

There is a world of difference between the two teams this season and the only question we have to ask ourselves is by how much will FSU win this game? Well the oddsmakers have given U of Florida a 27 point head start and that is a pretty healthy obstacle to overcome especially when one considers that FSU's Jameis Winston is sweating an indictment for sexual assault. But if southern justice, as it pertains to star athletes, goes the way it normally goes then young Mr. Winston will probably have until after January 6th to learn his fate.

The long and short is that the difference between these two squads is about 40 points. FSU will want to avenge their loss from last year and show the world just how good they are before their SEC championship game.
