Even though starting quarterback Gunner Kiel is questionable for tonight's Thursday night NCAA football matchup, We review the betting odds for this game between the Bearcats & Tigers.

College Football Odds
College Football Odds makers came out with the total at 66.5 and I expect the line to move depending on whether Kiel plays or not. Because this is a nationally televised matchup and he is not definitely out I am expecting him to play. Whether or not that is the case I recommend for one of your College Football Picks to back the over because this should be a track meet. The best totals odds across online sportsbooks right now are at Pinnacle Sports over 66.5 at -102.

Cincinnati Bearcats
Offensively the Bearcats come in averaging 31.5 points per game, 551 total yards with 206 of those coming on the ground, and a third down 46. 15% conversion rate.  Last week they got by after Kiel went down in the third quarter and replaced him with redshirt freshman Hayden Moore.  Moore almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with four turnovers but had a nice drive to help win the game. Naturally if Kiel is out we would not expect the Bearcats to produce much offensively, but they have a solid ground game and Moore probably gained a bit of confidence from that win.  So far this season they have rushed the ball just 47.22% of the time but have found success at 4.8 yards per carry. They are not facing a very stout defense in Memphis and should be able to move the ball downfield no matter who is at QB.

Defensively Cincinnati has allowed an average of 33.5 points per game, 372 total yards with 217 of those coming from the ground, and a third down 32.26% conversion rate.  Their secondary is the strength of their defense with solid returners having only allowed so far 154.5 yards passing per game average.  Still there are some holes for other teams to exploit by being susceptible to the run. This will be in interesting matchup with this veteran secondary versus a solid Memphis passing attack.

Memphis Tigers
Offensively the Tigers have averaged 49.5 points per game, 596 yards per game with 218 of those coming on the ground, and a third down 48.28% conversion rate.  They have been a machine so far this season but the competition has been pretty light so far, albeit on the road.  Like the Bearcats their strengths lies in the passing game with a solid quarterback in Paxton Lynch, and a good amount of very good players at the skill position.  Right now I don't see a suspect defense in Cincinnati slowing them down, especially at home.

Defensively Memphis has allowed an average of 32 points per game, 469 total yards with 165 of that coming on the ground, and a third-down 42.86% conversion rate. This is essentially a new defense that had to replace eight starters on that side of the ball. Fortunately, they might get lucky not having to face Cincinnati's normal starting quarterback because they have been awful on that in allowing 304 passing yards per game. Still, as mentioned they have had trouble stopping the run as well so I don't expect them to be able to stop the Bearcats no matter who is at the helm.

My College Football Pick
Tonight I think we're going to get a really exciting football game and for both teams to move up and down the field rather easily. Even with some question marks out there about who is going to play I still like this number and the over. Should be a fun one to watch and Memphis.
