It's the regular season finale for both California and Arizona State. Let's break down the college football odds and see which Pac-12 team we should put our faith in.

Odds Overview
The Golden Bears will wrap up their regular season as home favorites over Arizona State, with the college football odds board showing California favored by either 3.5 or 4 points.

We should be seeing quite a lot of points put on the board in this one, and the O/U backs that sentiment up with a very high number of 68.5 points. California and Arizona State are averaging 35 and 32 points per game respectively, so we know these two offenses are more than capable.

California Golden Bears
After they had won each of their first five games of the season, the Golden Bears were thinking big. They've had a much more difficult time since though, as they've lost five of their last six to fall to 6-5 overall on the year. California will be taking a 3-5 conference record into this weekend's home date with the Sun Devils.

Last week, the Golden Bears settled for a 35-22 defeat on the road against a good Stanford program, in spite of another valiant effort from QB Jared Goff. He threw for 386 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, and Bryce Treggs was the top target, hauling in seven catches for 102 yards and a score. Unfortuantely for Cal, they couldn't stop Christian McCaffrey, who had 241 total yards from scrimmage (191 rushing) and a touchdown for Stanford, from running all over them.

The Golden Bears will be hoping they can fare much better in that regard against another tough assignment in Demario Richard and Kalen Ballage, both of whom have been productive for the Sun Devils. We know Cal will be just fine offensively with Goff at the helm, but they need the defense to step up and make some stops.

Arizona State Sun Devils
The Sun Devils have responded nicely after a three-game losing streak earlier, reeling off consecutive triumphs over Washington (27-17) and Arizona (52-37), both of which came at home.

Last week, against their big rivals, Arizona State was relentless offensively, scoring the most points they have all season. It was the perfect way to end their home finale over such a big foe in Arizona, and now the Sun Devils will head out on the road to try and play the role of spoiler out on the road. They'd love nothing more than to get the better of the Golden Bears.

This team has plenty of talent to do so too, as QB Mike Bercovici (22:9 TD:INT ratio) and the likes of Richard, Ballage, Devin Lucien, Tim White and D.J. Foster have all made their fair share of big plays this season. There's no doubt they'll need everything they can get for this Saturday's road game.

Betting Analysis
While the Sun Devils have plenty of weapons and have built up a little bit of steam after two straight wins, we don't think they'll be able to notch a third in a row this weekend.

The simple matter of fact is Goff has been exceptional for California this season, and we don't think he'll be having too much trouble against a Sun Devils team that hasn't done anything special. With six different receivers who have recorded more than 400 receiving yards, you can get a feel for just how many reliable options there are in this California offense, and Goff has been getting them all involved.

At the end of the day, we're not predicting a blowout by any means, but Goff and the Golden Bears should make enough plays to win and cover in front of their own fans. We'll lay the number with our college football picks on Saturday.
