The Cincinnati Bearcats and the BYU Cougars are both dealing with injury situations to important offensive players. That’s one issue both teams have to deal with. Let's review the odds inside.

Momentum
The Bearcats won their most recent game against Miami on October 1. They needed the bye week and the downtime, especially since their number one quarterback, Gunner Kiel, has been able to rest after suffering a head injury against Memphis the week before the Miami game. Kiel might be able to play in this game, but in the intervening weeks, Hayden Moore has filled in nicely at quarterback, showing a lot of promise as a downfield passer.

For BYU, a 45-38 win over East Carolina showed that quarterback Tanner Mangum still has a knack for making plays. He has some health concerns going into this game against Cincinnati, but if he’s reasonably healthy, he should be able to lead BYU’s offense to a lot of points. Cincinnati’s defense is highly suspect.

Line Moves
The College Football Odds started with BYU as a 7-point favorite, and that has remained in place. There are quarterback health questions on both sides of the matchup, and so you’re not seeing movement either way. This could be a holding pattern, but until there’s more news on some injury fronts, you’re not going to see too much movement. Lines have not been posted at some betting outlets, it should be pointed out.

Notable Injuries
Cincinnati has linebacker Clemente Casseus out indefinitely with a suspension. Defensive back Adrian Witty is out indefinitely with an ankle injury. Wide receiver Chris Moore has been upgraded to probable with a leg injury, and so has fellow receiver Johnny Horton. Quarterback Gunner Kiel is now probable for this game, but he might not start in place of Hayden Moore due to his head injury. Running back Mike Boone is now probable for this game with an ankle injury.

BYU has tight end Colby Jorgensen listed as out for the season with a neck injury. Defensive back Garrett Juergens is out indefinitely with a collarbone injury. Linebacker Philip Amone is out for the season with an ACL injury. Starting running back Adam Hine is out four to six weeks with an ankle injury. Defensive back Michael Davis is questionable with legal problems. Starting quarterback Tanner Mangum is questionable with a hamstring injury. Linebacker Harvey Langi is probable for undisclosed reasons. Ului Lapuaho is questionable with a leg injury. Defensive back Micah Hannemann is questionable for undisclosed reasons. Linebacker Sione Takitaki is out indefinitely with a suspension. Tight end Steven Richards is out for the season with a knee injury. Starting running back Jamaal Williams is out for the season due to personal reasons.

Handicapping The Game
The game is likely to be a shootout, so expect a lot of points from both sides. Can one team pull away from the other? It seems these offenses are going to keep the game close. BYU wins, but Cincinnati covers. Take the Bearcats with your College Football Picks.
