We offer sports bettors our top three Over/Under selections for their Week 3 College Football picks. Find out which of Saturday's matchups we have highlighted on our schedules.
The college football season swings into week three, with teams trying to consolidate gains made in the first two weeks of the season or prove that they are better than many pundits give them credit for. How will various teams react to what are the biggest challenges they’ve faced to date?
Here are three games on the card for Saturday. They’re all very different kinds of tests for the teams involved. See if you can make the right over-under calls:
Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs. Oklahoma Sooners
This is a game in which the Sooners are coming off an emotional and draining win at Tennessee. Keep this in mind: Oklahoma didn’t just win. It won a road game and a night game in which it trailed, 17-3, entering the fourth quarter. The Sooners won in double overtime, spilling their guts in an all-out attempt to win. When teams play games that are as long and as grueling as what Oklahoma just went through, they normally do not come back the next week really fresh and sharp. Teams usually drift through the following week after a game like that one in Tennessee. They start slowly, gain a little more momentum as the game goes on, but don’t score the huge points many people think they will. The fact that Oklahoma gets a little bit of a breather against Tulsa makes this the perfect time for the Sooners to coast through the game, not using too much energy and getting just enough done to win without having to be nervous entering the fourth quarter. This feels like a 38-20 kind of game, one which will finish well under the College Football Betting Odds on Saturday.

Northwestern Wildcats vs. Duke Blue Devils
We head east for hte second of our College Football Picks, where the Blue Devils host the Wildcats from Tulsa. The Northwestern Wildcats came up with the defensive performance of week one on Sept. 5, holding the Stanford Cardinal to just six points. Northwestern was fast to the ball and very physical all day long, getting the better of Stanford’s beefy and brawny offensive line. The Wildcats were not explosive on offense, though. They scored only 16 points and just one touchdown.
Duke has not been severely tested yet this season. The Blue Devils played Tulane in week one, a team which was replacing most of its defense. Then Duke played a lower-division FCS team in week two and coasted through that game. The Blue Devils’ offense is likely to find it hard to move the ball against Northwestern’s quality defense. Both quarterbacks are in their first years as starters, even though they have different levels of experience within the programs they play for. This feels like a game which might not get out of the teens. The first team to 20 might win.
College Football Pick: Under at Bodog
Ole Miss Rebels vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
It’s true that Ole Miss has scored over 70 points in each of its first two games, but the Rebels have rolled past bad teams. Mississippi is now facing an Alabama team which has not given up many points in either of its first two games. Alabama does not have a veteran quarterback in its own right, so the Tide might find tough sledding against Ole Miss and its front seven, which is believed to be among the very best front sevens in America. This looks like a 20-13 kind of game, one made for an under with this number.
