Still undefeated this season, the Tigers should be able to keep that spotless mark alive when they host Boston College this weekend. Which college football picks should we roll with?

Odds Overview
Most everyone is expecting the Tigers to take care of business in style at home to Boston College, and the college football odds board agrees with that thought process. Oddsmakers have Clemson as either a 15.5 or 16-point favorite, depending on the sportsbook.

If you're more interested in trying out a play on the game's total, the number is trading at a miniscule 37.5 points, which is no surprise considering how good both Clemson and Boston College has been defensively; the Eagles in particular have been involved in a lot of low-scoring games already this season.

Clemson Tigers
Through five games, the Tigers have still yet to taste defeat, and they've already earned a few nice wins this season, including one over a ranked opponent in Notre Dame. As of now Clemson is #5 in the AP Poll and #6 in the Coaches Poll, and they'll be aiming to preserve their perfect record at home on Saturday evening.

This past weekend, the Tigers didn't have all that much trouble scooting past Georgia Tech. Deshaun Watson threw for 265 yard and two touchdowns, while running back Wayne Gallman made the most of his touches, logging 115 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries. Defensively Clemson was stout against Georgia Tech's running game, allowing a measley 71 total yards on 42 rushes, and they should be in a great spot if they're able to replicate that effort versus Boston College, who love to run the ball.

Overall, the Tigers come in ranked 13th in total defense and 48th in total offense. Will they improve upon those numbers after the weekend is over and done with?

Boston College Eagles
Putrid offense has been the name of the game for the Eagles, which is a shame considering how dominant they've been on the other side of the ball. They were shut out completely at home in a brutal 3-0 loss to Wake Forest last week, and the week before that they were held to seven points in a 9-7 loss.

Let's (try) and focus on the positives, though. Boston College, despite ranked 115th in the nation in total offense, have been the BEST in Division I when it comes to total defense. The Eagles are surrendering 41.7 rushing yards and 98.7 passing yards per game, two highly impressive defensive marks.

Will BC be able to keep it going against Watson, Gallman and the rest of the confident Tigers? Well, that remains to be seen.

Betting Analysis
While we've certainly been impressed with how well the Eagles have been defensively, this is a very tough spot for them.

The odds are so steep for a reason. Clemson has still yet to lose, and we believe the best is still yet to come for this team, as they haven't been quite as dominant as they could have been thus far. The Tigers have all the pieces in place to continue to rack up the wins, and they're going to be oozing with confidence this Saturday.

We fully expect Boston College to try and make this game as ugly as possible, by trying to pound the run game and control the clock as much as possible, in turn keeping Watson and company off the field. However, the Tigers have the talent to score some points on these Eagles, and we don't think they'll have too much trouble with a BC team that's scored a grand total of 43 points over their last four weeks. In what should be another big-time win, we're on Clemson for our college football picks to cover the big number on their own field.
