The LSU Tigers bring in the nation’s longest current September winning streak into their game against the Auburn Tigers Saturday, as the two teams prepare to meet at Tiger Stadium.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds for this Southeastern Conference matchup, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET.

Take a look at my College Football Picks: Opening Odds Report for Week 4.

Dressing up as an underdog

Auburn is 3-0 SU and 1-2 ATS in its first three games of the Gus Malzahn’ era, as the program prepares to dress up as a underdog for the first time—after picking up a 24-20 victory over Mississippi State as 6.5-point home favorites last Saturday.

The Tigers are 3-13 SU and 5-11 ATS as underdogs over the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 9-7 in that situation.

Rolling along

LSU has won 28 consecutive games in September, including a 45-13 victory over Kent State as 35.5-point home favorites last Saturday, as it won the statistical battle by 323 yards.

The Tigers have been moving the ball with ease offensively thus far, with Zach Mettenberger being the only quarterback in school history to have nine touchdown passes and throw for 250-plus yards or more in the first three games of the season.

Success story

College football handicappers will find that the Tigers are 42-36-6 SU all-time in SEC road openers, but they’ve won 16 of their last 17 games in that situation.

Auburn has an excellent chance to stay within the number if the game is close heading into the fourth quarter, as it’s one of only six teams that have not been scored on in the final 15 minutes of a game this season.

Saturday night

There’s no doubt that LSU should be favored in this matchup on the odds board, considering it has compiled a 39-2 SU record in Saturday night games under head coach Les Miles.

It’s important to point out that the Tigers are a disappointing 1-7 ATS versus conference foes as favorites of 15 or more points.
