W. Kentucky faces the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide, but to their credit, they have plenty of strength on their  offensively line. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. our expert capper explains and provides his pick.

High-scoring W. Kentucky will travel south to face top-rated Alabama, who is the defending national champion in this 3:30 ET kickoff on ESPN2. While Alabama was cruising to an easy Game 1 victory, W. Kentucky proved the strength of their offensive philosophy by inserting a new QB, reinforcing the thought that ‘IF IT AINT BROKE, DON’T FIX IT!'

W. Kentucky vs Alabama (-29) 3:30 ET ESPN2
What a fantastic start to the 2016 football season on this site!  Combined with a 3-0 ATS mark on NFL-X games, the College Football picks in Week 1 went 7-1 ATS for a combined mark of 10-1 ATS to begin your football season! I assure you that every weekend will not be that good. But, if you follow the advice in my analyses this season, there is an extremely, high probability you will have more winners than losers.

Alabama proved the depth of their program last week when the defending Champion Crimson Tide hardly skipped a beat in devouring the USC Trojans (52-6). Alabama was part of the 13-1 ATS 200 Club, as they ran and passed for at least 223 yards on offense while holding USC to 194 total yards. Despite the covering, the number by 35 points, Alabama HC Saban, in typical fashion, said there were still areas of improvement for the Tide. That’s the least of his problems this week, as he must convince his minions that this game against W. Kentucky, whom they know lost last year to LSU (48-20), is of more relevance than their double revenge game at Ole Miss next week. Only the motivational genius that is Nick Saban will be able to pull this off.  Credit is given to the insertion of both QBs, Hurts, and Barnette, who showed well opening week.  Before you get excited about the Crimson Tide, note this team is just 26-26 ATS the previous 4 seasons and 1-5 ATS as home chalk last year.

The Toppers warmed up for their match against No. 1 with a 46-14 destruction of Rice as our CHEAP THRILLS winner of Week 1. It was every bit as bad as the final score with Western holding a 649-288 yardage edge. Brohm never changed the offense, simply plugging in QB White (USF transfer) in place of the departed QB Doughty, who many felt would be irreplaceable. Today, Brohm and the Hilltoppers get the ultimate test of their 44 PPG offense against the nation’s No. 1 team. In the ultimate challenge of offense vs. defense, we will back the big dog, who can easily come through the back door if need be, once Alabama thoughts turn to Ole Miss next week.
