The Army Black Knights take the nation’s top rushing attack on the road, as they prepare to take on the Air Force Falcons Saturday. Where do we believe the best value lies for Saturday nights game?

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds for this Week 10 matchup at Falcon Stadium, with the opening kickoff scheduled for Noon ET on ESPNU.

Falling into a pattern

Army has alternated wins and losses over its last five games, as it looks to bounce back from a 33-14 defeat to the Temple Owls as one-point road favorites on Oct. 19, while going UNDER the betting total of 60.5.

The Black Knights had three players take snaps under center in that affair—losing the passing attack yardage battle for a eighth consecutive game this season.

A disappointing year

Air Force has lost seven consecutive games since picking up a 38-13 season-opening victory over Colgate on Aug. 31, including a 45-10 blowout defeat to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as 19.5-point home underdogs last Saturday.

The Falcons have started four different quarterbacks in a game this season—the only school in the country that has hit that particular number.

Road woes

College football handicappers are going to have a hard time backing the visitor in this spot, as the Black Knights are 0-13 SU and 1-12 ATS on the road since 2011, with the OVER going 8-5 in that situation.

Army is 14-32-1 SU all-time against Air Force, including a 3-19 mark when playing away from home.

Calhoun at home

The Falcons have compiled a 29-13 SU record at home under head coach Troy Calhoun, but they’ve failed to cover the number in 15 of their last 18 opportunities in that situation, including all five during the 2013 campaign.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Black Knights for their college football pick, as I believe their top-ranked rushing attack is good enough to improve the road team to 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings in this rivalry.
