Check capper Troy West free college football picks on one of the biggest week 3 betting matchups for this upcoming weekend as Alabama welcomes the Ole MIss Rebels this Saturday.

Mississippi vs. Alabama
One of the biggest games of the week 3, will feature an Alabama team looking for revenge against a now biter rival? in Old Miss. College football odds has Alabama currently as a 7 point favorite and the total climbing up at 51.5. Alabama steam rolled Wisconsin in its first game, but now lets look at why the Tide took the foot of the gas pedal in its second game at home vs. MTSU.

It wasn’t the best of efforts for Alabama, but it was an easy win as Jake Coker found Robert Foster for a 19-yard touchdown in the first, and Derrick Henry ran for two of his three touchdowns in the second. A blocked punt for a touchdown made it 23-3 at the half.

Cooper Bateman stepped in and fired a 14-yard touchdown pass to Kenyan Drake, and Henry ran for a 28-yard touchdown on the way to a 37-3 lead.

Finally to insure a backdoor cover. Middle Tennessee finally got into the end zone late on a 15-yard Rod Ducksworth catch. This could only infuriate Bama alumni and Bama backers.

What We Can Say About Alabama this Year
Get Derrick Henry the ball ASAP! – Derrick Henry ran 18 times for 96 yards and three scores.  Jake Coker remains the man at QB.  Jake Coker completed 15-of-26 passes for 214 yards and a score with a pick. Cooper can step up as 2nd string if needed.  Cooper Bateman completed 11-of-17 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown with an interception.  The only concern for the Crimson Tide, Alabama struggled on third downs, converting just 4-of-13 chances.  Now here comes the big bad Rebs of Oxford, MS.  Having ran up the score on two lowly opponents how will this help them prepare for a hostile road game at Bryant Denny at night?

Lets see how good Old Miss did against these cupcakes they have been playing.

Ole Miss apparently tried to establish a tone from the start with a 28-point first quarter thanks to three Chad Kelly touchdown passes and a four-yard Kelly run.

Fresno State tried to stay around with two second quarter touchdowns, with Shannon Edwards returning an interception 56 yards for a score, but Ole Miss responded with a 75-yard drive and another Kelly TD pass, finding Quincy Adeboyejo for a 44-yard score.

The Rebels poured it on in the second half. Robert Nkemdiche scored on a one yard play, the D came up with its second pick six, and they kept on rolling to 38 points.  This is all we can say about the Rebs so far.

Stars are Flat out Shining
Chad Kelly completed 20-of-25 passes for 346 yards and four touchdowns, and ran five times for 26 yards and a score.  Quincy Adeboyejo caught five passes for 120 yards and three scores. Ole Miss outgained Fresno State 607 yards to 316. All signs point to Old Miss being an offensive juggernaut!  However do not be fooled by there weak Strength of Schedule.  This is Alabama they are heading to play.

Nick Saban has had this game circled on his calendar since last years loss.  When a team is averaging 70 points in its first 2 games and they only make the total 51.5 something has gone awry.

Expect Saban to have the defense play inspired ball in front of his home fans. Alabama gets the revenge win they need so badly and handle the Rebs at home.

Predicted Final Score: Alabama 31  Mississippi 20.

College Football Pick: Alabama - 7 (+105) at 5Dimes
