In Week 7 we get off to a quick start as superstar Lamar Jackson and the #7 Cardinals host Duke in which should be an exciting game.Let's take a look at what Friday has to offer with our NCAA College Football Picks of the Day.

Duke Blue Devils (3-3) vs #7 Louisville Cardinals (4-1)A Statement Game

The Louisville Cardinals look to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season to the Clemson Tigers, 42-36. Before this game, they hadn't scored less than 59 points in any game this season and we can possibly see them look to 'pile it on' against an inferior Duke Blue Devils squad. It all starts with the play of sophomore quarterback, Lamar Jackson.

Heisman Hopeful

Louisville suffered a very tough loss to DeShaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers, but that didn't stop Lamar Jackson from producing and being committed to the running game.

Along with throwing for nearly 300 yards, Jackson ran the football 31 times for 162 yards and 2 TDs. He's also had 2 games of 400 yards or more passing this season. I don't think that it will affect him at the collegiate level, but it would concern me to see any quarterback run the football 31 times.

Against a weaker Duke squad, Jackson won't need to do this to be effective and look for the passing game to open up more, led by senior wide receiver, James Quick. Quick has caught a touchdown pass in 4 out of 5 games this season and leads the Cardinals in receiving with 443 yards and 4 TDs.

While I expect Jackson to look towards the passing game, it won't stop him from taking matters into his own hands as he leads Louisville in rushing with an amazing 14 TD's to go along with 688 yards. We're only 5 games into the season. These are record setting type numbers and look for more of Jackson and Brandon Radcliff in the running game. Radcliff has 3-100 yard rushing games this season and this Louisville offense should have no problem moving up and down the field against this Duke defense.

Unimpressive Wins?

As for Duke, they do have one big win this season and that's against Notre Dame, but this isn't the same Notre Dame team as in year's past. Duke is coming off of a 13-6 win over Army and a win like that against a team of such a low caliber of talent (on the field), isn't saying much for the caliber of this Duke squad.

Jela Duncan Listed as Probable

Another concern for the Blue Devils is their leading rusher, Jela Duncan (354 yards, 4 TD's) might not be at 100% even if he does play and starting quarterback, Daniel Jones is coming off of a 41 yard passing performance against Army and is susceptible to the interception as his offensive line leaves a lot to be desired.

For my college football pick, look for Louisville to destroy Duke in this matchup.

San Diego State Aztecs (4-1) at Fresno State Bulldogs (1-5)An Easy Game For San Diego State?

They're a 17 point betting favorite across the college football odds board and the Aztecs opponent, the Fresno State Bulldogs, have lost 4 straight games. This appears to be a bit of a mismatch as the Aztecs defense has only allowed 23.4 points per game this season. The one thing that does impressive on the offensive side of the ball for the Bulldogs is that they're facing a defense which is better against the run than the pass and they possess 3 receivers with over 400 yards apiece.

Converting Yards Into Points

This has been the problem for the Bulldogs as they have a much better offense than their 1-5 record indicates. Where their rushing game is concerned, Dontel James is a one man show and James is coming off of his biggest performance in his collegiate career as he rushed for 169 yards and 1 TD in a loss to Nevada.

Bulldogs freshman quarterback, Chason Virgil, might need more protection from his offensive line, but that hasn't stopped him from connecting with Aaron Peck (479 yards, 3 TD's ), Jamire Jordan (405 yards, 2 TD's), and KeeSean Johnson (402 yards, 3 TD's) on a regular basis. I don't expect the San Diego State defense, which is really good, to stop this passing attack and this game will be closer than expected.

Donnel Pumphrey

The key to San Diego State's offense lies within this special running back. He's already accumulated 891 yards and 9 TD's this season Pumphrey has had two games of over 200 yards. The key to the game is can Fresno State's defense keep Pumphrey in check? I say no, but I also look for Fresno State to be competitive.
