It’s week 4 of the college football season, and I’m going to discuss 3 of my early betting values. The point spreads used in this article are courtesy of some of the best sportsbooks available, according to SBR's ratings.

Wake Forest vs Indiana 3:30 PM ET
Wake Forest has already matched last season’s win total by virtue of its 3-0 start. The Demon Deacons are an experienced team, and their defense has been stout thus far.

Indiana has faced Florida International and Ball State on their way to a 2-0 start. They rely heavily on a high powered offense, and they’ll be in for a stiff challenge this week against a formidable Wake Forest stop unit.

Current (9/19) college football betting odds at Bookmaker, where you will find a  has a prime early number for this specific underdog.

Early Lean: Wake Forest +8.0

Georgia Southern vs Western Michigan 7:00 PM ET
Western Michigan already has two road wins over Big Ten opponents Northwestern and Illinois. They host a Sun Belt team this week, and have their MAC opener up next against currently undefeated Central Michigan.

Georgia Southern has gone 20-4 over its last 24 games, and make no mistake about it, this is a quality team out of the Sun Belt Conference. They’re coming off a disappointing performance last week, winning by just 2-points against UL-Monroe as a 24.0-point home favorite. Their triple option offensive attack will give the Broncos defense fits. I wouldn’t be shocked to see an upset in this game. Nevertheless, the generous point spread will surely come in handy.

Early Lean: Georgia Southern +7.0 (-105)

#3 Louisville vs Marshall 7:00 PM ET
Marshall headed into last Saturday home game against Akron as a 17.5-point favorite and was 21-1 in their preceding 22 games at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia. Inexplicably, the Thundering Herd was trounced 65-38 by Akron. Obviously, they were looking ahead to hosting nationally-ranked Louisville in their next game.

Louisville will be hearing how great they are all week after totally dismantling then #2 Florida State 63-20. Now they’re a substantial 26.0-point road favorite against a CUSA team which was just blown out by a MAC opponent. Here’s the clincher, there’s a trip to #5 Clemson on the Louisville itinerary up next. Can you say caught looking ahead?

I’m not crazy enough to call for an outright upset, but Marshall is a proud football program with a winning tradition, and they can certainly stay within this huge number. One of my early college football predictions will be on the home underdog in this contest.

Early Lean: Marshall +26.0
