The BYU Cougars and Wisconsin Badgers will be meeting for just the second time on Saturday, but their head coaches are definitely familiar with one another. Which coahes team have we decided to place our money on for our college football pick?

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds for this non-conference matchup at Camp Randall Stadium, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Take a look at our SBR's College Football Picks for Week 11 Betting Odds Report

BYU has won five consecutive games, including a 37-20 victory over the Boise State Broncos as 6.5-point home favorites on Oct. 25, while going UNDER the betting total of 60.

The Cougars have won the statistical battle in all eight of their games during the 2013 campaign—led by an offense that is 12th in the country in averaging 511.1 yards per game.

Familiar foes on the sideline

Wisconsin will face off with BYU for just the second time in school history, but first-year head coach Gary Anderson will be facing off with Saturday’s opponent for the 10th time in his career.

Andersen went 1-3 versus BYU as a head coach at Utah State, and 5-2 during two stints as an assistant for the Utah Utes.

The Badgers have won 28 consecutive home games against non-conference foes.

Balanced stop unit

College football handicappers need to take a long look at the road team in this spot, considering the Cougars are 9-0 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons.

BYU has 11 players with 30 or more tackles, while linebacker Kyle Van Noy has 26 career sacks, which ranks second among active players nationally.

Scoring margin

The Badgers’ last 12 wins have come by a double-digit margin, while they rank fifth in scoring and sixth in total defense respectively.

Wisconsin has outscored its opponents by an average of 38.3 points in its four wins at this venue during the season, with the stop unit recording two shutouts over that span.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Cougars for their college football pick, as they’ve covered the number in 13 of their last 18 road games.
