Despite being heavy favorites, college football betting expert Joe Gavazzi is fading the 27 point favorite Washington Huskies, in favor of the Sun Devils. Why? you ask. Read this article and find out.

Arizona St. vs Washington (-27) 7:30

Each week in my analysis, I search for the contrary game of the week. It is termed the LONE RANGER GAME OF THE WEEK, since only you and I and the LONE RANGER will be lining up with my selected side. You should have faith in this selection, as not only does it have a solid winning percentage over the years, but we come off 4 outstanding contrary, big dog winners last week with Pitt (+21) at Clemson, Georgia (+10) vs. Auburn, USC (+8) vs. Washington and Iowa (+21) vs. Michigan.

Last week, Washington suffered their first defeat at the hands of USC. Many will be looking for the bounce back by last week’s No. 4 team in the nation against one of the worst travelers in the country.  For Arizona St., though 5-1 SU ATS at home, is 0-4 SU ATS on the road, losing to the pointspread by a combined 52 points, while allowing 41 PPG.  Coming off a 49-26 home loss to Utah, in which they were outrushed 201-41, would appear to spell doom and gloom for the Sun Devils.  But before you take off the rubber band on the Huskies’ bounce back, it is important to note the following.

First of all, this game is actually a sandwich game for the Huskies between that contest vs. USC last week and a meeting for the Apple Cup against in-state rival Washington St., WHO IS NOW LEADING THE PAC 12 WITH A 7-0 SU RECORD. Can you say “flat spot”?  But wait, it gets worse because Washington is 0-10 ATS in games following USC. Furthering our case is the fact that Arizona St. has owned this series with an amazing 10 consecutive wins against Washington, including the last 3 year under Todd Graham by margins of 10, 14 and 29 points.  Can you say series dominator?  Now, after that level of dominance, they are getting nearly 4 TDs which is 3 TDs more than they would have gotten opening week.

Despite the above information, there is a good chance that you and I and the LONE RANGER will be the only ones who are fading the Washington Huskies this week. Do it!  I invite you to put the College Football ODDS in your favor and join me in my College Football PICK on Arizona St. tonight.
