Army take to the road for consecutive weeks when they travel to face the Buffalo Bulls on Saturday evening.  It is a matchup of two teams headed opposite directions, read for our expert College Football Pick.

Army (-14) vs Buffalo 7:00 ET
Week 4 of the College Football season is traditionally the first strong week of the season. This year is no exception, as it is the strongest and deepest card of the season to date. This includes more Top Plays than in the first 3 weeks combined. Your patience from the first 3 weeks will now be rewarded, as we have increasingly more data to make the analysis. Not that it has been bad so far with selections on this site for the year to date standing 16-7 ATS (70%) in CFB and NFL combined.

Army is off to its best start in recent memory for 3rd year HC Jeff Monken. After struggling through a combined 6-18 SU first 2 seasons, Army is off to a 3-0 SU ATS start! There have been upsets of Temple on Opening DaySaturday by a count of 28-13 as 15 point underdog. That was followed by a thorough trouncing of Rice (31-14) for rare coverage in the role of home chalk.  Last week, they traveled to UTEP. It was an emotional contest for the Black Knights, who were inspired to play a dominating game for the recent death of CB Jackson. A common theme in those games has seen the Army option offense dominate overland by a sum of 1,101-278.  No one has gained more than 289 YPG against the Black Knight defense, which has led the way with a (+7) net TO margin. Talk about a team who is overheated!

For the Buffalo Bulls, year 2, under HC Lance Leipold, has gotten off to a rocky start. The Bulls opened with a 22-16 loss to FCS Albany as 22 point home favorite. That defeat, however, saw Buffalo outgain Albany 403-238, but suffer from a (-4) net TO margin. Following an open date, the Bulls flew to Reno where they were clearly out of their element in a (38-14) loss, in which they gave up 352 overland yards, what many believe to be a bad omen against the prolific Army infantry attack. Today, they return home battered and bruised showing far more interest in their game vs. Army than they may normally have. The fact they have failed to cover the number by 42 points, yielding a (-128) AFP advantage gives us definitively more than 2 TDs of value in a game in which Buffalo would have been installed as small home favorite at the beginning of the season.
