SBR contributor Ross Benjamin shares his college football Week 12 round-robin, which consists of three two-team parlays. Ross is 38-19 (67%) on his college football picks this season with odds from SBR's best sportsbooks.

Arkansas At Mississippi State

Since beginning the season 3-0, Arkansas has alternated losses and wins in its following games and enters this week at 6-4. Believe it or not, this will be just the Hogs' third true road game of the season. In their past three contests, Arkansas has a horrible -20.0 point-per-game differential against the likes of Auburn, Florida and LSU.

The last time Mississippi State played at home, it upset Texas A&M 35-28 as a 10.0-point underdog and eliminated the Aggies from College Football Playoff contention. The Bulldogs are now 4-6 after last week’s 51-3 shellacking at No. 1 Alabama. They must win this week against Arkansas and in their regular-season finale in the Egg Bowl at Ole Miss to become be bowl eligible. Desperation and urgency have a funny way of bringing out the best in teams. I’m going with the home team in this spot for one of my college football week 12 predictions.

NCAAF Free Pick: Mississippi State -1.5

Best Line Offered: BookMaker

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3028867, "sportsbooksIds":[93,1096,1275,300,180], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]

Marshall At Florida International

It’s been a disappointing season for Florida International. Earlier in the year, head coach Ron Turner was fired after going 10-30 in three-plus years on the job. Ron Cooper took over on an interim basis, and this past week former University of Miami and North Carolina coach Butch Davis was hired to take over at this Miami school immediately following the season. That’s certainly good news for Golden Panthers fans. Nevertheless, FIU is now playing with a lame-duck coaching staff and many players are now faced with uncertainties going forward. That’s certainly not an ideal situation when there are two games left on the schedule.

Speaking of tough years, Marshall is enduring its first losing season since 2012 and that’s after going a combined 33-8 during the previous three years. However, the Thundering Herd are coming off an encouraging 42-17 upset win last Saturday as an 8.0-point underdog at Middle Tennessee. As opposed to this week’s opponent, Marshall’s football program and coaching staff remain on solid ground despite this year’s bump in the road.

I’m going with the team that has a clearer mind-set in an otherwise evenly matched game.

NCAAF Free Pick: Marshall -2.5

Best Line Offered: Intertops

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3028768, "sportsbooksIds":[180,1275,19,1096,93], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]

USC At UCLA

The loss of sophomore starting quarterback Josh Rosen to a season-ending shoulder injury proceeded to throw a monkey wrench into the Bruins' season. They snapped a four-game losing streak last Saturday with a 38-24 home win over Oregon State. Due to their current 4-6 record, UCLA needs to defeat USC on Saturday and win at California in the regular-season finale to become bowl eligible. On a positive note, all six losses sustained by UCLA have come by 10 points or fewer that’s intriguing considering the current point spread.

USC has caught fire after a 1-3 start and enters this week a winner of six consecutive games. As a matter of fact, with a win Saturday and one loss by BOTH Colorado and Utah (they play each other next week) in their final two games, and USC would be in the Pac-12 Championship Game for a second straight year.

Southern Cal is clearly the team playing with more confidence right now. Nonetheless, this is still a hefty number to lay against a team that’s much better than its season record indicates and especially so in a rivalry game of this magnitude. I’m going against the overwhelming percentage of public bets being made on USC at this present time.

NCAAF Free Pick: UCLA +13.5

Best Line Offered: BetOnline

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3028679, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,1275,180,999996,169], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]
