Our College Football handicapper looks to cash in on the best defenses and offense in the country as he looks to the Week 8 betting board for O/U totals value.

2016 College Football Record: 19-21-2, -4.20 Units

Utah vs. UCLA

With the 16th ranked defense of the country, the 19th ranked Utah Utes travel to the UCLA Bruins in this Pac-12 matchup. Now the Bruins aren’t too shabby either on defense, ranked 39th on defense in the land and allowing 23.1 points per game. What’s damning for UCLA though, is their inconsistencies on offense, especially with the injury of quarterback, Josh Rosen, continuing to be a lingering issue. Utah is also dealing with a laundry list of injuries on the offensive side as well. The strongest units on both of these teams are definitely on the defensive side of the ball right now.

Both of these teams have cashed the Under in two out of their last three games, with UCLA cashing in 5 out of 7 towards the Under over the season. This series has skewed towards the Under as well recently, with 6 of the last 7 matchups going under the posted total. Last season’s 17-9 UCLA win went under the listed total by 30 points! Take the Under of 46 points in this game as one of your College Football picks.

Oregon State vs. Washington:

This pick is all about the Washington Huskies owning the 3rd highest scoring offense in the country at 49.5 points per game. Coming off of a bye and relatively healthy, there is no reason why the Huskies can’t take it to the Beavers at home in Seattle. Heisman Trophy candidate, quarterback Jake Browning, is at the top of his game right now and is completing over 72% of his passes with only two interceptions versus 23 touchdowns.

The risk here is the Oregon State offense, who will be missing quarterback Darrell Garretson in this game. They struggled last week against one of the top defenses in the country in Utah, only putting up 14 points. However, if they were able to put up 10 points in this game I think this score goes over 54, and I’m looking for a score similar to last year – a 52-7 win. Watch for the Huskies to really turn it on here and for Browning to pile on more stats. Take the Over of 53.5 at 5Dimes.

Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech

Alright, alright, alright… another auto bet under pick here, as the oddsmakers can’t help themselves in putting a total starting with an “8” for a game with Texas Tech in it. I grabbed this one last week with Texas Tech at home versus West Virginia and Texas Tech struggled on offense, only putting up 17 points. In that game, the under cashed by 20 points.

I’m not saying that this game won’t be high scoring, as one team will likely score well in the 40’s. However, so much has to go right for a score to breach 85 the value here is on the Under. A few failed drives and punts are all it should take, so grab the Under at 85 at BetOnline for another Week 8 College Football Pick.
