Bulldogs and Rebels Collide in Non-Conference Test in Oxford
Ole Miss will entertain Fresno State on Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford. The opening kickoff is slated for 3:30 PM ET and it will be televised by ESPN2. According to current College Football Odds at major sportsbooks, #17 Ole Miss is a 30 point favorite across the board. These teams met in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Ole Miss captured both encounters, winning 55-38 at home, and 38-20 in Fresno.

Opening Week Results
Fresno State opened their 2015 college football campaign last week with a 34-13 home win over Abilene Christian, and pushed as a 21.0 point favorite. The Bulldogs defense sacked the quarterback five times in that contest, holding their FCS opponents to just 34 yards rushing, and a meager 1.2 yards per attempt. Fresno State displayed a very balanced offensive attack which passed for 217 yards and ran for another 225. The Bulldogs have lost 19 consecutive games against ranked opponents. The last time they were able to defeat a ranked team was during a bowl win over Virginia in 2004. Since 1997 they’ve gone 11-3 ATS as an away underdog of 19.0 or more, but lost all fourteen games outright.

Ole Miss absolutely massacred UT-Martin at home last week by the score of 76-3, and easily covered as a massive 42.5 point favorite. Similar to their upcoming opponent on Saturday, the Rebels were very balanced offensively. They were able to amass 338 yards rushing and 324 more via the air versus an outmanned FCS opponent. The Rebels three quarterbacks Chad Kelly, Ryan Buchanan, and DeVante Kincade combined to go 19-of-28 passing (67.9%), and tossed 5 touchdown passes while be intercepted just once. The most encouraging sign for Ole Miss was the production of their running game. They had five players rush for 40 yards or more in the win. Considering how they struggled to run the ball last season, last week was a feather in their cap regardless of the level of competition.
