A Terrible Loss
Momentum is a key factor with any team and Kent State is coming into this game, coming off of a 48-0 loss to the Bowling Green Falcons. Yes, the Falcons are a far superior team to that of the Bulls, but this is not a good sign for Kent State.

Two keys in this game were turnovers and and defense. Kent State quarterback ,Geroge Bollas, committed 2 interceptions while only throwing for 111 yards and Bowling Green quarterback, Matt Johnson, lit the Golden Flashes defense up for 430 yards through the air along with 5 TD's. Kent State must brush this loss off quick as they can even up records with Buffalo with a win and have an advantage in the head to head matchups.

Win One For Edelman?
I don't know if Julian Edelman follows the only team that would pay for his schooling, but he is a product of the Kent State University program and I wouldn't be surprised if he were keeping tabs. Point being, is that even at a small school, there's talent to be found. Unfortunately on this Kent State squad, there are no Julian Edelman that we know of as their poor play and record indicates.

Kent State has decided to go with quarterback George Bollas after Colin Reardon started the first 6 week and this could be a mistake as Reardon played rather well with 8 TD's and 3 INT. Will this decision continue to hurt Kent State as this is a team that is 4-11-1 in their last 16 games at home ATS?

This is certainly not an overpowering Golden Flashes offense as they have no runners that run over 4 yards per carry with very little production and their top 3 receivers have a total of 1 touchdown between them. The only thing that they have going for them is home field advantage and that hasn't worked for the bettor when backing the Golden Flashes.

Buffalo's "Big-3"
While the Bulls have been merely average, averaging 28 points offensively and allowing 25 points per game, they do have some go to threats. The running game is led by two 500 yard rushers in Jordan Johnson and Anthone Taylor. Wide receiver, Ron Willoughby, leads all Bulls receivers with 511 yards and 5 TD's.

Buffalo has a very solid passing game behind the arm of quarterback Joe Licata. Licata has thrown for 1876 yards with 10 TD and 7 INT. If he and Buffalo can avoid turnovers, they should dominate this football game. The spread is quite low here. Make the Bulls your college football pick for this Thursday evening matchup.
