We enter Week 5 of the 2016 CFB season with enough statistical data to feel comfortable with its relevance. Joe Gavazi applies his AFP theory to pick between Buffalo & Boston College.

Buffalo vs Boston College (-17) 1:00 ET
Use your AFP theory, described in an Article 2 weeks ago, to continue to search for contrary plays at best prices.  For the football season on this site, selections are now 22-13 ATS (63%) with a plethora of winners for this week.

Each week in this space, using thinking directly from the 200 Club and Double Rushers, I isolate your CFB STEAMROLLER PLAY OF THE WEEK.  Last week, it was the Pitt Panthers (a 7 point underdog), who OUTRUSHED NORTH CAROLINA 309-18 for an easy cover.  This week, we turn to a favorite, who will most certainly dominate their visiting opponent.

Last week, the Buffalo Bulls were one of the public’s favorite PLAY AGAINST teams.  In the first two games of the season, they lost to FCS Albany and at Nevada.  The public couldn’t wait to lay the points with Army, who was off to a 3-0 SU ATS start.  But in our LONE RANGER PLAY OF THE WEEK, we confidently advised using an AFP play as the 14 point line presented nearly 3 TDs of value.  Final score:  Buffalo (+14) 23-20 … an outright underdog victory and an easy ATS winner!  A closer inspection shows that the Bulls were lucky to win that game, as they were outgained by Army 444-265.  This is a Bulls team, who is still looking to find their way under 2nd year HC Leipold.  In the last 2 weeks, they have allowed Nevada and Army to run for an average of 373 RYPG.  This afternoon, it appears that the Bulls will be the ones who will be stampeded.

The Boston College Eagles remain a team searching for their offensive identity.  Under 4thyear HC Addazio, the defense remains strong much like the unit that allowed 15/254 in 2015.  In fact, this year, they again have a Top 10 defense allowing just 236 YPG.  Last week, in a 42-10 win vs. Wagner, they, at last, got their running game on track with a 300-45 RYPG edge.  Against the weak Buffalo defensive front, expect the Boston College ground game to again stampede their way at the point of attack in what can only be described as our CFB STEAMROLLER GAME OF THE WEEK for Saturday, October 1st.

I invite you to put the College Football odds in your favor and join me in my College Football pick on Boston College this afternoon.
