Before placing your College Football picks for this week 1 matchup, know that Boise State has covered 65% of their games ATS, oddsmakers still believe this could be tight with a spead of just 10.5.

Typically in College Football, a homecoming is supposed to be a celebration but this does not look to be the case as the Washington Huskies travel north to play the Broncos of Boise State. The blue smurf turf may turn to red after this BLOOD BATH.

College Football odds makers have set the home team as 10.5 point favorites, with the total at 57.5.

This is truly shaping up to be a long season for the Washington Huskies. They lost as much talent as anyone in the country, including three defensive starters to the draft. They are working out several different options at Quarterback, none in which have started multiple games at the collegiate level. Desperation spoke when they recently signed Junior College transfer Tony Rodriguez. While quarterback is a major issue, piecing together a young inexperienced offensive line is going to be another. Rebuilding would be an understatement as Washington truly has no bright spots. John Ross, their top play maker will also miss the entire season due to injury. There is bad, there is ugly, and then there is Washington.

The Boise State Broncos football team is coming off yet another fantastic season including a 38-30 bowl win against a legitimate PAC 12 opponent in Arizona. Having to replace Quarterback Grant Hedrick is not an easy task, but Boise has options.  Coach Bryan Harsin has had some outstanding recruiting classes that will feed well with what Boise is already returning.  The Broncos are poised to run away with not only the Mountain West, they have an outstanding shot at making some noise in the BCS conversation. This is one of the more well-rounded teams in all of College Football.

Boise has won 86% of their games over the last six seasons and won 53% against the spread. However, Boise State is covering 65.6% of their games against NON CONFERENCE opponents.

Chris Peterson built the foundation for Boise State and then left to take on a tremendous challenge at Washington. Boise State does not need any motivation to win this game by 14 points, but having Peterson home only makes this game that more lob sided. A route is in the making.

College Football Pick & Final Score Prediction: Boise State -10.5 at Pinnacle Sports ( Boise State 42 Washington 14)
