West Virginia won’t be intimidated in traveling to Stillwater, which makes it a dangerous underdog when looking over the college football odds against Oklahoma State.

Potential Letdown?
West Virginia has a veteran-laden team with 40 players with starting experience, which is important to consider when making your college football picks, as it comes off an emotional 41-27 victory over the Baylor Bears as 8.5-point home underdogs last Saturday.

The Mountaineers have scored in 27 of 28 quarters during the 2014 campaign, while signal-caller Clint Trickett has thrown for 300-plus yards in a school-record eight consecutive games.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 5-10 SU and 8-6-1 ATS as underdogs, with the OVER going 10-5 in that situation.

Disappointing Effort
There’s no question that Oklahoma State is eager to get back on the gridiron, as it was handed a 42-9 defeat by the TCU Horned Frogs as 10.5-point road underdogs—snapping its nation long streak of scoring 20 or more at 58 games.

The Cowboys have been out-gained by 522 yards in their last two affairs, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds, while the UNDER is on a 3-0 run for both of these teams.

It’s important to point out that the squad is 4-2 SU and 2-4 ATS off a loss versus a the Big 12 Conference rival since 2012.

White Out
Trickett has one of the more dynamic targets in the country in Kevin White, who has finished with 100 or more receiving yards in a program-record seven straight games.

He’s the national leader in averaging 145.7 yards per game, while sitting behind just one player in catching 9.9 passes a contest.

There’s No Place Like Home
The Cowboys are certainly worth a long look despite the betting odds moving against them, as they’ve proven victorious in 22 of their last 24 games at Boone Pickens Stadium, while also coming away with a win in six of its last seven Homecoming affairs in Stillwater.

Oklahoma State is 4-2 SU in its last six home games versus top-25 opponents, as it looks to gain revenge from a 30-21 setback to West Virginia as 19.5-point road favorites last year.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Mountaineers as one of their top betting picks, as the Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a winning record.

College Football Pick:  West Virginia Mountaineers +1 at 5Dimes.
