UCLA has won eight consecutive games away from the Rose Bowl, which makes it a playable road favorite in the betting odds against Washington Saturday.

Trending Upward
UCLA has won three games in a row, including a 17-7 victory over the Arizona Wildcats as 6.5-point home favorites last Saturday, as it captured the statistical battle for the seventh time in nine contests in 2014.

The Bruins have compiled a 16-9 SU Pac-12 Conference record under third-year head coach Jim Mora, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 11 college football picks, while they’ve captured eight of 11 overall games in November during his time on campus.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 7-1 SU and 4-4 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points, with the UNDER going 6-2 in that situation.

Turnover Margin
Washington is 6-3 SU and 4-5 ATS in Chris Petersen’s first season in the Pacific Northwest after leaving Boise State, as it returns home after producing a 38-23 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes as three-point favorites in Week 10.

The Huskies have benefited from a plus-11 turnover margin that ranks eighth nationally, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds, while they trail just one team in racking up 37 sacks.

It’s important to point out that the squad has dropped both of its opportunities as underdogs at Husky Stadium this year.

Dual Threat
Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley isn’t considered a top Heisman Trophy contender anymore, but he’s definitely become more of a dual-threat offensively in recent games, especially after gaining 131 rushing yards on 24 carries last week.

Hundley needs just one more touchdown pass to move into sole possession of the top spot on the school’s career list in that category, while he’s completed 71 percent of his passes during his junior campaign.

A Different Shaq
Petersen has elected to use star linebacker Shaq Thompson exclusively on offense the last two games, which has paid big dividends—gaining 272 yards over that span.

He’s expected to receive a bulk of the carries in this Pac-12 matchup, but that could backfire in playing a talented team like UCLA, as Thompson has played a major part in the stop unit leading the nation in defensive scores.

Prediction
I’m going to recommend that readers back the Bruins as one of their top football selections, as the favorite has covered the number in four of the last five installments of this rivalry.
