A huge matchup takes place in college football on Saturday night as Everett Golson and the #5 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-0) square off against the maligned but talented Jameis Winston and the #2 Florida State Seminoles (6-0). This game has huge implications as both teams are undefeated. See who we like as our betting pick.

Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. This game can be seen on ABC television and expect the Nielsen Ratings to go through the roof.

5Dimes Sportsbook currently lists Florida State as a massive 11.5 point betting favorite. This is quite impressive as both teams are undefeated. No total is available for this game at the present time, but keep checking SBR's live college footall odds for updated odds as the game draws nearer.

Florida State gets the bump in odds as this is a home game for them and they possess the reigning Heisman Trophy Winner in quarterback Jameis Winston. You won't find a better quarterback than Winston but as good as he is, he creates off the field chaos with his antics and it's not good for his drafting status where the NFL is concerned or the sport of college football.

"Bo Knows Football"
Many of you that go back a bit will remember a professional football and baseball player by the name of Bo Jackson. Jackson is the only player to ever make an all star game in baseball and a pro bowl in football. Athletically, Jackson might very well be the greatest athlete of all time.

Recently, Jackson, who is from the same town as Jameis Winston was rudely rejected from the FSU quarterback. Jackson was looking to give Winston a bit of fatherly advice before he ends up in the slammer or possibly worse.

This is the type of person that Jameis Winston is. He has all-world talent in 2 sports, but doesn't care about the repercussions of his actions. A lot of negative attention has been brought to FSU and you'll hear about it during Saturday's broadcast. As for the game, the number is a bit high, but as stated, Winston is the best and in Notre Dame will have an uphill climb when entering Doak Campbell Stadium.

Winston isn't a huge statistical player with 11 TD, 5 INT and 1605 yards of passing in 5 games. It's his on-field presence and passing ability that makes him such a great football player. Look for a lot of Winston to Rashad Greene as the senior is Winston's favorite target. On the season, Greene leads the Noles with 44 receptions for 683 yards and 3 touchdowns. Florida State is a team that can beat their opponent on the ground or through the air. Whether its the trio of Williams, Cook, and Pender, or Winston decides to make a statement on national television, expect FSU to score a lot of points in this game, which I expect to be a shootout despite the enormous betting spread.

An Ugly Win?
Notre Dame is coming off of an ugly win, as they defeated the 2-4 North Carolina Tarheels 50-43. At one point in this game, UNC was actually leading late in the 3rd quarter and had accrued 35 points. If Notre Dame's defense, which is a top 10 defense, expects to be competitive against FSU, they must play much better or the Noles will bust this game wide open.

Everett Golston did throw for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns, but the Irish defense allowed 510 yards of offense to North Carolina and committed 3 turnovers. This is why we see such a high betting spread in Saturday's game. Is Notre Dame the real deal is the question?

Everett Golston has been a beast all season long. He's thrown for 16 touchdowns to go along with just 4 picks. Golston has thrown for 1683 yards and is also a double threat that can run the football which is something that Winston can't do. Sophomore wide receiver William Fuller is coming off of a big game in which he caught 7 passes for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns. One would think that the Irish vs. the Seminoles would be a hard fought close game.

Usually when you see a bloated spread like this, the double digit favorite wins the ball game, but with off the field distractions in the Florida State camp and an undefeated Notre Dame team with a great leader in Everett Golston, for your college football picks look for Notre Dame to cover the 11.5 points in this much anticipated game.
