The Memphis Tigers are worthy road favorites against Temple on Friday as they possess the most balanced offense in the American Athletic Conference.

Playing Good Football
Memphis has won back-to-back games for the first time during the 2014 campaign, which is important to consider when making your Week 11 College Football picks, as it comes off a 40-20 victory over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane as 24-point home favorites last Friday.

The Tigers are third in the AAC and 39th nationally in averaging 448.0 yards per game—leading directly to scoring 30 or more points five times after hitting that number once a year ago.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 1-3 SUATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points, with the OVER going 3-0-1 in that situation.

Fortunate Win
Temple picked up a 20-10 win over nationally-ranked East Carolina as 9.5-point home underdogs last Saturday, but it was out-gained by a sizable 297-yard margin.

The Owls gained just 135 yards offensively in that matchup, which can’t be ignored when looking over the College Football odds, as they sit 116th nationally in averaging 317.6 yards a contest.

Since the start of the 2012 season, the squad is 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS off a win against a conference rival, with no edge in terms of the betting total (2-2 Over/Under).

Life On the Road
The Tigers have put together an impressive 3-0-1 ATS record on the road this season—playing the likes of UCLA, Ole Miss, Cincinnati and SMU.

Memphis has a great opportunity of taking control of this game early, as it has scored in the first quarter in seven of eight games, while Temple may suffer a bit of a letdown after picking up just its third-ever contest against a top-25 foe.

Youthful Roster
The Owls entered the year with just eight seniors on the roster—the fewest among FBS programs—the next closest being Arizona State and Pittsburgh with 11 each.

Temple may hit a wall in this affair after getting out-gained by 581 combined yards in its last two games, but it has put together a 5-3 SU and 4-4 ATS record by ranking sixth in the nation with 24 takeaways.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Tigers as one of their Friday College Football picks, as they’ve gone 7-1 ATS in November the last two-plus seasons.
