Heated ACC Rivalry
The Florida State Seminoles will host the Clemson Tigers on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. Kickoff is slated 8:00 PM ET and the game will be televised nationally by ABC. According to college football odds, Florida St. is a 16.5 point home favorite, and the posted total is 60.5. Clemson has won 5 of the last 9 meetings between these teams, and have covered in 7 of those 9. However, Florida St. has 10 of the last 11 at home against Clemson.

Huge Revenge Game for the Tigers
Florida St. hammered Clemson on their home field last season by a score of 51-14, and easily covered as a 4.5 point favorite. This will be a grand opportunity for the Tigers to take sweet revenge on the defending national champion, and break their personal 17-game winning streak. The Tigers atoned for their opening game 45-21 loss at Georgia, walloping South Carolina St. 73-7 in their home opener, and had no trouble covering as a 34.0 point favorite. They will also have the benefit of entering this game off a week of rest. When making your college football picks, keep in mind that since the start of the 2012 season, Clemson has won all 5 of their game following a week of rest, and those opponents included the likes of Virginia Tech, LSU, North Carolina St., Georgia Tech, and Ohio St.

Adversity for the Seminoles
The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston continues to make the headlines for his inability to stay out of trouble. First there was the alleged rape allegation before he even played his first college game, then last spring’s heist of crab legs from a local grocer, and now this past week he decided to make a spectacle of himself on campus by standing on a table, and shouting obscenities to the crowd. As a result, he will be suspended for the 1st half of the upcoming game on Saturday. Hence, the line moved from its opener of 19.5 to the current number of 16.5.

Defending Champs Continue to Roll
As I alluded to earlier, this is a Seminoles program that’s won 17-games in a row, in addition to 22 of the last 23, 28 of the last 30, and 33 of the last 36. Since taking over for the legendary Bobby Bowden, Jimbo Fisher has gone a terrific 47-10 as the head coach at Florida State. The Seminoles will need to turn to backup quarterback Sean Maguire in the first half on Saturday, and he’s attempted just 5-passes this season.

Final Analysis
Any conference away underdog of between 7.5 to 18.5, coming off a non-conference home favorite ATS win, and they won 8 or more of their last 22-games, versus an opponent that scored 43-points or less in their previous game, has gone 33-10 ATS (76.7%) since 1982.
