The College Football odds favor the Bobcats at home for Tuesday night's game with Texas State in search of their 3rd straight win. This handicapper shares his top ATS play here.

Odds Overview
The Bobcats opened as one-point favorites, but the line has already moved considerably. Now Texas State is listed as a field-goal favorite at practically every online sportsbook out there.

Visit the college football odds live page to see what kind of total oddsmakers dish out for Tuesday's battle at Bobcat Stadium, since as of the time of this writing, only BetOnline has released their totals.

Texas State Bobcats
What an up-and-down year it's already been for the Bobcats. They opened the season by crushing AR-Pine Bluff 65-0, but then lost consecutive games to Navy and then Illinois.

Following the defeat to the Fighting Illini, Texas State has righted the ship by outlasting Tulsa in triple overtime (37-34) and then grinding out another win two weekends ago, this time at home against Idaho.

Despite only having possession for close to 19 out of 60 minutes, the Bobcats made the most of their chances. They had 466 total yards of offense, with 390 of it coming on the ground. Texas State wasn't so good defensively, but in the end they did just enough to get their second consecutive victory.

As we talked about, the ground game was working wonders for the Bobcats against the Vandals. Terrence Franks was the main man, rushing 15 times for a ridiculous 284 yards and three touchdowns. He was simply unstoppable. QB Tyler Jones added 58 yards and a rushing score, and obviously had to do very little in terms of passing, explaining his 78 passing yards and one touchdown throw (with two interceptions).

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's what Texas State did against Idaho, and it's what they've done all season long. Ranked #16 in the nation in rushing yards per game, we can expect the Bobcats to employ a similar run-heavy approach against the Rajin' Cajuns. Whether they're able to replicate that stunning success remains to be seen.

Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin' Cajuns
The Rajin' Cajuns avoided a fourth straight setback by holding off Georgia State for a 34-31 win two weekends ago.

It has been a truly miserable stretch for Louisiana-Lafayette, as they had lost by at least 25 points in each of their 3 straight losses (Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech and Boise State), so a positive outcome against the Panthers was a welcome relief.

Everything was working offensively for the Rajin' Cajuns, as QB Terrance Broadway had 216 passing yards and two touchdowns, while the team accounted for 195 rushing yards and three rushing scores on the day. WR Jamal Robinson was the biggest beneficiary in the passing game, hauling in eight passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

It's rather worrying that Louisiana-Lafayette allowed 30+ points once again -- they've done so in every game this season -- but a win's a win.

The next challenge is coming to terms with a potent Texas State run game, one that's clicking on all cylinders at the moment. Can the Rajin' Cajuns step it up defensively this week?

College Football Pick
Though we've already missed out on some value, we're still holding strong with our belief the Bobcats will get the job done and cover the spread at home on Tuesday night.

That Texas State run game has been just too powerful to ignore. What'smore, the Bobcats have already hung tough with some solid teams this season, so they should be well-prepared for this visit of the Rajin' Cajuns, especially since they've built up some momentum in recent weeks.

Neither team has done well defensively this season, but Louisiana-Lafayette has been far worse in that regard. With our College Football picks, we look for Texas State to pound the ball and find success, ultimately leading to a SU win and ATS cash for backers.
