Ross Benjamin’s 2016 College Football Bowl Record at SBR is an excellent 54-30 (64.3%%) against the spread.

Liberty Bowl Odds: TCU vs. Georgia 12:00 PM ET

TCU is averaging 31.7 points scored per game, and Georgia is at 24.0 points scored per contest this season. The current (12/29) college football betting odds at Bookmaker indicates that TCU is a 3.0-point favorite.

Any team (TCU) that’s +3.0 to -3.0 in a non-conference game, playing after game 6 of the season, and they average 28 to 34 points scored per game, versus an opponent averaging 21 to 28 points scored per game, resulted in those teams going 27-5 (84.4%) SU&ATS since 2007. This extremely successful betting angle is essential to me when making one of my college football picks.

Sun Bowl Odds: North Carolina vs. Stanford 2:00 PM ET

Stanford finished the regular season on a 5-game win streak. However, all those wins came against teams with losing records. Stanford’s star running back Christian McCaffrey has opted not to play in this contest. He’s chosen instead to get an early start on preparing for the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft Combine. McCaffrey has been one of the top multifaceted running backs in college football over the past 3 seasons.

North Carolina is much better than their 8-4 record may indicate. They were upset by NC State in their regular season finale. Nevertheless, the Tar Heels are 3-0 SU&ATS this season following a loss, and won by a substantial 22.0 points per game. I’m going with the ACC team in this 2016 Sun Bowl for one of my college football predictions.

Arizona Bowl Odds: South Alabama vs. Air Force 5:30 PM ET

Air Force has enjoyed a very successful 9-3 regular season. Nonetheless, college football point spreads at Sportsinteraction.com has them as a 14.0-point favorite in this Arizona Bowl game, and that’s an inflated number according to my professional opinion.

South Alabama has been an inconsistent team in 2016. They’ve registered huge upset wins over Mississippi State as a 28.0-point road underdog, and as a 19.5-point home underdog against Mountain West champion San Diego State. Unfortunately, they’ve gone a dismal 1-4 following a win this season on their way to an uninspiring record.

Sun Belt Conference teams are an impressive 4-1 thus far during this bowl season. That lends further credence to South Alabama being a superb double-digit underdog betting value. As I’ve already alluded to, South Alabama is more than capable of stepping up to the challenge when odds are stacked against them.
