Typically played on Christmas Eve or Christmas at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, the Hawaii Bowl pits either Conference USA or Pac-12 programs with one from the Mountain West. Third-year coach Nick Rolovich rolled in his bowl game debut, leading the Rainbow Warriors to a 52-35 romp over Middle Tennessee in the 2016 Hawaii Bowl. Rolovich went off a 6.5-point underdog, yet exploded for 19.2 points more than the market projected.
