How to use teaser odds to your advantage
One of the most known advantage teasers that gives players an expectation of winning over the long haul is referred to as a "Wong teaser" (in recognition of gambling author Standford Wong, author of Sharps Sports Betting).

The purpose of such a teaser is to cover key NFL points 3 and 7, or a field goal and touchdown – the most common scores recorded in NFL games. For example, an NFL home favorite of 7.5 to 8.5 points who is thrown into a standard six point teaser can then be reduced to 1.5 to 2.5 points, where any win by a field goal or larger is a win for sports bettors.

Conversely, a +1.5 to +2.5 underdog who is teased by six points in a standard teaser is then brought up to +7.5 to +8.5 points; this team can lose a game outright by up to these number of points, again cashing if the spread is a touchdown or field goal, with either team winning.

There are many other types of teasers offered by online sportsbooks. Super and sweetheart teasers are offered by select online sportsbooks and are listed under 10+ point teasers in the sportsbook rating guide, as are pleaser bets where instead of getting points in your favor, you actually give up points in exchange for enhanced payouts.

While the sportsbook teaser odds directory only lists betting sites in good standing, the sportsbook rating guide has ratings on the great shops down to the outright scams – players are advised to use caution when selecting a new online sportsbook.
