Makar has been dominant to start the series with two goals and two assists, and he also registered 12 shots in the Game 2 win. It shouldn’t be surprising considering he’s paced all defensemen in points per 60 minutes during the regular season since entering the league three years ago.
His underlying statistics also jump off the page through two games against the Preds. Makar has racked up 28 shot attempts and nine scoring chances while driving possession and offense at five-on-five with a 66.3 Corsi For percentage and 63.9 expected goals for percentage.
Makar’s Conn Smythe Award odds have dropped from +2000 to +1400 at Caesars and +2000 to +1300 at DraftKings. FanDuel currently has the Conn Smythe market off the board.
