After a month and a half of back and forth where the player was asked to provide a number of documents to establish ownership of his account, he reported being told the following:
“After a detailed and thorough investigation, we have taken the decision to permanently close your account, as we have strong reasons to believe your account was not created for genuine gaming purposes.”
MarathonBet confirmed the action but would not get into specifics via email. MarathonBet and SBR have scheduled to hold a conference call to discuss the specifics of the dispute.
In the meantime, SBR has queried the user who filed his complaint with more specific questions to establish if his time-line matches MarathonBet’s. It is currently unknown if there were just cause for the seizure.
MarathonBet users have typically reported of delays passing the KYC (Know Your Customer) process but management is active in responding to individual claims and to date there has not been a situation where alleged theft had taken place.
