O/U NBA Picks: Three Tickets to Cash for Friday’s Playoff Action

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons 7:05 PM ET
As a result of their 107-90 win in Game 2 of this Eastern Conference Quarterfinal, Cleveland has now scored 100 points or more in twelve straight contests.  During that stretch, the Cavaliers converted on a stellar 40.3% of its three point attempts, and averaged 13.6 makes per game. Cleveland has also gone 16-4 (80%) over the total this season following a home win by 10 points or more. Additionally, they’ve gone 8-1 over the total during their last nine games, following a contest in which they allowed 90 points or less, and there was a combined 217.6 points scored per outing.

Detroit has gone 7-2 over the total during their last nine home games against Eastern Conference opponents, and there was a combined 210.5 points scored per contest. Detroit has hosted Cleveland twice this season, both contests went over the total, and there was 211.5 points scored per game.

Relative to the current total, I like this game to be a high scoring affair, and one of my Friday NBA picks will concur with that forecast.

NBA Pick: Play on over the total of 200
Best Line Offered: at Bookmaker

Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics 8:05 PM ET
The first two games of this series have gone under the total, and there was just 182.0 points scored per contest. Each team shot the ball terribly during those games, with Boston making a paltry 34.2% of its field goal attempts, and Atlanta wasn’t much better at 39.9%. The teams combined to go a horrible 32-for-119 (26.9%) from three point territory.

Current NBA odds at Ladbrokes provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 202
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies 8:05 PM ET
San Antonio has seen each of their previous five games stay under the total, and their stifling defensive play has been a key component in those low scoring contests. During that stretch, San Antonio has allowed only 84.6 points per game. The Spurs are 11-2 (84.6%) under during their last thirteen away games.

Memphis has lost all six meetings with San Antonio this season, and was stymied offensively during those contests. The Grizzlies accounted for 87 points or less on five of those six occasions, and averaged a pathetic 83.0 points scored per game. At the time of this writing, had a posted total of 182.5 on this contest. Memphis is 6-1 under (178.0 PPG) this season when the total is 189.5 or less. During those seven outings, they averaged an abysmal 80.9 points scored per game, and shot a horrible 37.4% from the floor.

NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 183
Best Line Offered: at Bovada
