The partnership deals within the US legal sports betting industry keep coming. The New York Jets have been involved in two just this past week with the latest being an official sports betting partnership deal with up-and-coming online sportsbook, WynnBET. The deal comes one week after the kickoff of the NFL team's season debut but in time to take advantage of the remaining 16 games left on the Jets' schedule.

Mobile betting hasn't quite been legalized in New York State, but it is definitely on the horizon. It's a good thing that that Jets play their home games in New Jersey, at Met Life Stadium where mobile betting is not only legal but thriving at a level not many saw coming.

That said, WynnBET tying themselves to an iconic New York franchise should give them an early leg up once the Empire State's mobile sports betting platform does indeed go live.

Some Details

Sportsbook/team partnership deals generally follow a similar pattern and the tie-up between the Jets and WynnBET is no different. For the team, aligning with a sportsbook is all about maximizing the overall Jets experience for their legion of fans. For WynnBET, it is all about maximizing their exposure in key markets through an established and iconic brand.

Unsurprisingly, WynnBET gains access to Jets marks and logos for use across its online products for advertising purposes in particular. There will also be a fair share of co-branding opportunities for the entities involved. Thanks to the partnership deal, WynnBET signage will be prominent throughout Met Life Stadium during Jets home games.

Possibly the biggest coup for WynnBET will be the “The WynnBET Green Room” at Met Life Stadium, the state-of-the-art, all-inclusive betting lounge that will carry the WynnBET name. The lounge will take Jets' fans viewing and betting to another level and is seen as pinnacle of Jets viewing experiences.

Media Exposure

The WynnBET/Jets deal isn't just about the in-stadium perks. The media perks perhaps outweigh the exposure at just the stadium itself. WynnBET will immediately become title sponsor of some of the biggest and most important media content surrounding the Jets, on TV, radio and on the world wide web.

Two prominent weekly podcasts will have WynnBET as sponsor starting immediately. “The Official Jets Podcast” hosted by reporter Eric Allen and Jets legend Leger Douzable and "Jets Game Preview” podcast on NYJets.com, the official team app, are huge draws and will now have the sportsbook's name attached to it.

WynnBET will also take on sponsorship roles for the Jets Pre and Post Game Live TV shows on SNY. Those shows feature top NFL insiders and legends and will take on WynnBET as title sponsor for their programs airing before and after Jets games.

Win-Win

WynnBET has been a quick riser on the US legal sports betting scene. Partnering with one of New York’s most iconic teams is just one more in a long line of prudent moves for the sportsbook in the last few months.

The WynnBET name will be prominently featured as soon as this weekend when the Jets host the Patriots, at Met Life Stadium. It will be difficult to miss the WynnBET name at the stadium and on the TV broadcasts.

Jets Vice President of Business Development and Ventures, Jeff Fernandez said, “The Wynn name represents a premium brand and overall high touch experience that fits perfectly into the aura of the Green Room. We also expect Jets fans to enjoy the compelling new content on the Jets Podcast Network and benefit from the WynnBET relationship on gameday and throughout the entire football season”.

While the Jets play their home games in New Jersey, WynnBET gains exposure and lays the groundwork in the yet-to-be launched, potentially massive mobile platform in the New York market. The Jets in the meantime get a quality, high-end provider maximizing their fans’ overall viewing experience and WynnBET gets another valuable notch under their belt.
