Justin Thomas has announced that he is withdrawing from this week’s PGA Tour event, the Travelers Championship, but one of the top golfers on the PGA Tour insists that he will remain with the PGA Tour.

Thomas, 29, is one of the core players that has affirmed that he is staying with the PGA and not defecting to the LIV Invitational Golf Series.

Thomas ranks third on the tour in scoring average this season. He won the PGA Championship and has nine Top 10 finishes in 16 events this season. He tied for 37th at the U.S. Open last week, shooting a 4-over-par 74 on Sunday to fall further off the pace.

Satoshi Kodaira will replace Thomas in the Travelers Championship field.
