GetWin sportsbook releases statement on account complaints

Getwin Sportsbook:On 31st March 2011, sixteen client accounts were blocked due to suspected organised betting. Getwin Ltd acted in strict accordance with the Terms and Conditions, and the reason behind the blocking of these sixteen clients’ accounts can be found in paragraph 5.14.

In accordance with usual practices, the information about these blocked accounts was transmitted to the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA). Following an investigation carried out by Getwin Ltd and the LGA, suspicions of organised betting were lifted on eleven client accounts. Subsequently, these accounts were immediately unblocked.

Investigations into the five other client accounts continue. Getwin Ltd considers it necessary to highlight the fact that we have serious evidence that organised betting took place. We are working closely with the LGA and with law enforcing agencies to bring to justice any wrong doers.

Players who cheat are detrimental not only to betting companies, but also to other players and the betting business in general. Getwin Ltd, like other betting companies, is obliged to take strict preventive measures in order to prevent any attempts of unfair betting. In spite of the fact that it is extremely unprofitable for us to block our clients’ accounts, the safety of our clients and the reputation of Getwin Ltd are of primary importance to us.

Getwin has not provided SBR with any evidence of player wrongdoing, or documentation to suggest that any of the players were related.

Players in need of Getwin sportsbook assistance are asked to fill out a sportsbook complaint form. Alternatively, players may reach SBR by writing to, or by dialing  830-515-4122  seven days a week during normal business hours.
