Raiders vs Rams Preview

The Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) will ride their three-game winning streak into Los Angeles to take on the reigning Super Bowl champions for the week 14 edition of Thursday Night Football. The Raiders are currently 6-point favorites against the Rams (3-9), who have only covered the spread in three of their 12 games and are looking to snap a six-game losing streak.

Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas began the season 2-7, but the recent win streak has made their playoff aspirations a reality. Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams have steered the ship, scoring a combined seven times over the past three games. Jacobs leads all running backs with 1,303 rushing yards, while Adams leads all wide receivers with 12 touchdowns. Darren Waller (hamstring) is eligible to return after being sidelined since week five, but head coach Josh McDaniels is unsure if the star tight end will need an additional week of rest.

Los Angeles Rams

To say this season has been a disappointment for the Rams would be an understatement following a Super Bowl victory this past February. Starting quarterback Matthew Stafford (neck) and newly acquired receiver Allen Robinson (foot) have each been ruled out for the remainder of the season, leaving tight end Tyler Higbee as the top receiving option for backup quarterback John Wolford. The reigning offensive and defensive players of the year are also sidelined for the Rams. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald (ankle) hopes to return in two weeks, and top wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) is unlikely to return with four weeks remaining.

These teams have not matched up since the 2018 season when the Rams won 33-13. The last time the Raiders traveled to Los Angeles to play the Rams, they were shut out 52-0 back in 2014. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 pm Eastern time.
