Bills vs. Patriots Preview

The Buffalo Bills (8-3) will take on the New England Patriots (6-5) in an AFC East matchup, with all four teams in the division currently sitting above .500. This will be the first time the two teams have met since the Wild Card round of the playoffs this past January. In that game, the Bills were 4.5-point favorites but blew past that number by winning 47-17. This will be a unique game as both teams will not be on short rest after being featured last Thursday on NFL’s thanksgiving triple header.

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo has been favored in each of their 11 games this season and their streak will continue in Week 13. They responded from losing consecutive three-point contests by winning their next two weeks, including a 28-25 victory against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. The team has underperformed as of late, covering the spread in only one of their last five games.

Josh Allen continues to struggle with interceptions as he leads NFL with 11. But he has made up for it on his feet last time out, rushing 10 times for 76 yards including his fifth rushing touchdown of the season. He found Stephon Diggs in the endzone who is tied for fifth in the offensive player of the year odds (+1600).

Excluding veteran rest days, only three plays players did not participate in Tuesday’s practice. Linebacker Von Miller is the only player who has been officially ruled out while Defensive End Dion Dawkins (ankle) remains a game-time decision.

New England Patriots

New England has been favored six times with their only win as an underdog coming against the Clevland Browns in Week 6. Their three-game winning streak ended on Thanksgiving, losing 33-26 to the Minnesota Vikings after failing to score in the fourth quarter.

Mac Jones had one of his best games in the NFL, passing for a career-high 382 yards without throwing an interception. The Patriots did an excellent job at stopping the run, limiting Dalvin Cook to only 42 yards on 22 carries but they could not stop Kirk Cousins who found the end zone three times.

Offensive Tackle Isaiah Wynn (Foot) and Safety Jabrill Peppers (illness) did not participate in practice on Tuesday and are listed as questionable. Backup Running Back Damien Harris (thigh) is not expected to play.

Betting Outlook

The Bills (-194) are 3.5-point favorites over the Patriots (+162) with the Over/Under set a 43.5. New England has dominated throughout history (77-47-1) but Buffalo has won four of five matchups over the previous two seasons. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 pm Eastern Time.
