Sporting CP vs. Legia Warsaw
Legia Warsaw were decimated on match day 1 behind a 6-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund. The Polish champions were in over their heads, outclassed, outmuscled and outplayed. The strains of competing on multiple fronts is conspicuously rearing its ugly head in domestic action as well, where they are mired in mid-table obscurity (14th with just 10 points in 10 rounds). Most recently, they are riding a winless streak that includes four defeats and a draw across all competitions. Sporting CP, meanwhile, succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid on match day 1 at the Bernabeau. However, where they strike an attractive pose is in Portugal’s top flight. They are second in the table, just a point behind Benfica. Home form is a source of encouragement as well – undefeated in their last five (four wins and a draw, three of which include clean sheets).

Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid
At face value, this is a matchup of two of the supreme attacking-minded teams in European football. The title defence campaign Los Blancos embark upon this season is a tantalising backdrop to this clash at Signal Iduna Park. If this pair lives up to the billing, it should be a rollicking affair. Not surprisingly, the soccer betting line is tight with the hosts edging the visitors ever so slightly. Borussia Dortmund are priced best with Bet365 at +160, while Real Madrid nip at their heels at +178 with BetOnline, the latter of which offers some of the best bonuses in the industry. Betting on either side is worth considering in match betting markets because there’s an argument to be had for both to win this clash. For our money, we’re not touching the straight up win. Instead, we’re hanging our hats on the potent offense contained within each roster and backing the totals.

Leicester City vs. Porto
Leicester City’s debut in Europe’s top flight was outstanding with a 2-0 win over Club Brugge on the away. They return to King Power stadium for a date with Porto, arguably a much tougher opponent in the context of this competition. Porto, however, settled on a 1-1 draw at home to Copenhagen, which means the Foxes are currently at the top of the group with a two-point advantage over the Portuguese side. In spite of the advantage, the Foxes are priced around +130 soccer odds to win outright, a market outlook tainted by the weekend’s 4-1 defeat to Man United we’d wager. The Foxes are struggling to defend their title credentials at home. In this competition, though, they’re not expected to factor overly, which means they face a lot less pressure. It’s a winnable group though and the Foxes could surprise again.

GNK Dinamo Zagreb vs. Juventus Turin
Italian heavyweights Juventus descend on GNK Dinamo Zagreb on match day 2, looking to push their bid for a spot in the knockouts at the expense of the Croatian middleweights. Juventus settled on a 1-1 draw to Sevilla in match day 1 while Zagreb succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais. The hosts will be desperate to register a point at the very least in this game while the visitors will be keen to capitalise on the lesser quality of their opponent. Fixtures in Croatia often get heated and tense, so it’s a tossup to some extent. That said, Juventus should bounce back after match day 1.

CSKA Moskva vs. Tottenham Hotspur
The Spurs opened their campaign with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Monaco at White Hart Lane. Next up is a tough nut to crack in CSKA Moskva on the road. If there’s one advantage, it’s not the dead of winter which should make the conditions for this clash more bearable for the Spurs. However, the travel will be a factor considering they’re coming off a Premier League fixture on Saturday – a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough on the road. Odds makers write off the hosts at +220 soccer odds or thereabouts, which might prove to be misleading considering they held Bayer Leverkusen to the 2-2 draw and the Spurs failed to come through as home favourites over Monaco.

Sevilla FC vs. Olympique Lyon
Three-time Europa League champions host current group leaders Olymique Lyonnais on match day 2, a fixture that could prove to be a right cracker in Tuesday’s round of Champions League betting. Lyon easily overcame Dinamo Zagreb on match day 1 with a 3-0 win at home. Sevilla faced a much tougher ask in Turin and rose to the occasion by holding Italian league leaders Juventus to a scoreless draw. Sevilla have scored 11 goals and conceded 9 in six Primera Division fixtures this season, nine of which they scored at home. Lyon have scored 13 goals and conceded 9 through seven Ligue 1 fixtures, which includes 5 scored and conceded on the away).

AS Monaco vs. Bayer Leverkusen
Monaco opened their campaign with a 2-1 upset over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. Next up is Bundesliga hopefuls, who are coming off a 2-2 draw with CSKA Moskva at home. Based on league form, Monaco, who are second in Ligue 1, look to be the stronger side. At home they are yet to suffer a defeat this season (four wins and a draw). By contrast, Bayer Leverkusen are struggling to stay inside the top ten in domestic action. Mainly on the away where they are 1-0-2 on the season. In fact, the last time Bayer won on the road in Champions League was in 2014 when they beat Zenit 2-1.

FC Copenhagen vs. Club Brugge
Copenhagen punched above their weight class to hold FC Porto to the 1-1 draw. Next up is Club Brugge, who are coming off a 3-0 defeat at home to Champions League debutants Leicester City. By all accounts, there is everything to play for in this group which is a winnable group by the entire field. Brugge will be determined to get back into the mix against their Danish hosts. Both sides come into this fixture riding positive form which makes it a bit of a tossup. Nevertheless, the hosts should win given they’re domestic form and impressive home form.
