New England is tied with the Miami Dolphins with the second shortest odds (+430) to win the division at the sportsbook, with both teams trailing the Buffalo Bills’ -200 price to top the AFC East.

Additionally, the Bills are also the Super Bowl favorite at Caesars and are trading at +650 to hoist the Lombardi Trophy this season.

For reference, the New York Jets are a +2000 longshot to win the division, so it’s definitely noteworthy that they’ve received more betting attention than the Patriots. Bettors must be attracted to the longer odds attached to Gang Green Nation.

New England has been better than the sum of its parts the last two seasons without long-time quarterback Tom Brady, and head coach Bill Belichick deserves oodles of credit for their success.

Still, looking ahead, a quick peek at the New England roster still doesn’t reveal many stars. So, who’s going to lead the Pats to a division title this season?

Bettors clearly are wondering the same, and/or they’re not seeing the value in New England’s current odds to take down the AFC East.
