Sportsbook Review has over forty outstanding complaints from BetOnline247 users. A sportsbook payout was reported on January 22nd, 2011. BetOnline247 is currently slow-paying players over €32,000.

BetOnline247 is headquartered in San Pedro, Costa Rica and has a European-facing business model. BetOnline247 has been inconsistent in addressing player complaints with SBR. BetOnline247 lists a 2-30 business day time-frame for all payouts, but has failed to meet the extended time-line in numerous complaints.

BetOnline247 was recently featured in a Sportsbook Review article on the five worst online sportsbooks. BetOnline247’s website states that the sportsbook is licensed and regulated by the Costa Rican government, despite the fact that online sportsbooks are not subject to regulation.

One BetOnline247 player requested a withdrawal on January 6th, 2011 and has yet to receive his funds. BetOnline247 first provided a generic message to the player stating that his payout was expected to take a maximum of 30 days.

BetOnline247: Regarding your payout requested on 1-06, due to the high volume of pending withdrawal requests, our accounting department has established a 30-day maximum payout time-frame from request date. This might not be as fast as you or us would like, but that is the amount of time it is taking for withdrawals to be approved and send; be sure that you’ll get paid, we always pay our customers, even if it takes that long.

After the quoted time-frame passed, BetOnline247 acknowledged the delinquent withdrawal request:

BetOnline247: We are aware that your withdrawal has taken longer than previously estated and we apologize, our accounting department is stil working on getting up to date with all pending withdrawal requests. As of right now I can’t give you an specific date of when it will be approved, but I can assure you that you will get paid, we always pay out customers even if takes longer than expected. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding; we are doing our best and working on improving our service.
