BetAtHome Player’s Account Frozen


A BetAtHome Sportsbook player has filed a complaint.

The player has claimed that both his deposit and winnings have been locked and are unable to be withdrawn.

He has been wagering with the sports betting site for approximately six months. He started with a €200 deposit and increased his balance fourfold.

After reaching the balance of €800 he asked for his first withdrawal. At this point BetAtHome requested that he provided his identity verification documents as is required with their Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines. He sent a copy of his passport and phone bill, and later a rental contract establishing his home address.

One week went by without hearing back from BetAtHome. The player then attempted to log-in to his sportsbook account and received the notification that his account had been locked. He has not been communicated with since and feels like he is in a state of limbo with no communication on the status of his pending funds.

Sportsbook Review has asked BetAtHome for comment. In the event that BetAtHome is unwilling to discuss the details of the complaint (as in several past situations) the player will be advised to write to the Malta Gaming Authority.
