Bet770 claimed that in January 2013 their systems were upgraded to separately show real cash and bonus cash balances. Weeks prior to this software update, Bet770 alleges that it sent an email advisory to players notifying them that their outstanding bonus rollovers must be met by the date of the software upgrade.
This is a very dangerous practice: Sportsbooks cannot add retroactive terms such as a use-by date on bonus promotions; the player had every intention of fulfilling the terms and condition of the bonus he accepted as they were when offered to him, but now finds himself facing a €940 tax for not adhering to the revised terms.
SBR is continuing to argue this point with Bet770 and urges players who similarly need sportsbook assistance to submit a sportsbook complaint form.
