The player agreed to accept three P2P payouts to settle his 2,308 USD payout. However, the player tells SBR that he was forced to a pay a total of $151 in accepting his payouts. Bet33 has reportedly refused to cover the fees.
SBR notes that the industry standard is for a sportsbook to cover the fees when it is unable to pay a player as advertised. In this case, the player requested a cheque from Bet33 after seeing this payout option listed in the sportsbook’s cashier. Bet33 was unable to pay the player the manner it promised to, and consequently directed the player to other payment options.
SBR has asked Bet33 Sportsbook to credit the player for the incurred fees.
SBR will update this report.
