Today's best FanDuel odds boosts
Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, and Jayson Tatum to each score 25-plus points (+120) ⭐⭐
Three high-scoring stars to clear decreased points totals immediately caught my attention, and this is an easy boost to evaluate from a numbers perspective.
Here are the prices for each leg of the boost from FanDuel and the combined odds according to our handy parlay calculator:
Outcome | Odds |
Damian Lillard 25-plus points | -800 |
Ja Morant 25-plus points | -260 |
Jayson Tatum 25-plus points | -550 |
Combined odds | -119 |
For added context, here are the points totals for Lillard, Morant and Tatum through FanDuel, along with my personal points projections and odds for each player to score 25-plus points:
Player | Points total | Points projection | 25-plus points odds |
Damian Lillard | Over 32.5 (-110) | 29.8 | -250 |
Ja Morant | Over 28.5 (-120) | 27.1 | -150 |
Jayson Tatum | Over 30.5 (-114) | 29.6 | -240 |
The combined odds based on my numbers are +231 for each of Lillard, Morant and Tatum to score 25-plus points. Obviously, there's a huge gap between my price and the boost. I'm going to chalk it up to both my projections being conservative, and the boosted odds being a little short.
Why is this a so-so boost?
This is an alright boost based on the numbers available through FanDuel. When comparing the original -120 odds of the parlay to the boost price of +120, we’re landing a positive expected value of 20%.
However, it's definitely worth highlighting that the positive expected value based on the odds via FanDuel often lands in the 30% range.
Simply put, this boost just isn't nearly as enticing based on my numbers. The difference between +120 and +231 equals a negative expected value of 34%.
I assessed this boost with a two-star rating because it provides entertainment value, and I do have all three players projected to hit the required 25-point benchmark. The odds based on my projections are just far more friendly.
