The Amaya Gaming Group has finalized its deal to purchase the Ongame Network, for a reported $6.5 to $8 million, PokerFuse has reported. The Montreal based provider will acquire bwin.party’s “surplus asset”. The announcement of the deal is expected during next week’s gaming exposition in Las Vegas. This is much lower than Shuffle Master was prepared to pay, as it had entered an agreement to acquire OnGame for approximately €30 million, though that deal fell through. Ongame is the fifth largest international poker network.
The Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta have entered a cooperation agreement with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. The deal is said to formalize the sharing of information between each regulator. The LGA struck a similar agreement with the Jersey Gambling Commission last week, according to a report by EGR.. The LGA has oft been criticized for being too lax in their requirements of gaming operators, and has been home to a number of scam operators such as BetOnBet, BetAfterBet, and Stryyke.
Casino games developer Quickspin has been awrded a core service provider license by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. With the AGCC license under its belt, the Stockholm-based game maker is able to shop its games to licensed Alderney gaming operators. QuickSpin CEO Daniel Linberg had the following to say regarding the deal:
“I am very pleased that we have been granted this certificate by the Commission. Apart from it being a seal of credibility for our company, it enables us to offer our state of the art content to some of the largest gambling operators in the world.”
Quickspin had applied for the provider license last month.
Bally Technologies Incorporated has signed a deal to provide slot machines and related system technology to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. This is the second major agreement Bally has signed this year, as the company also began a multi-year development partnership on August the 6th, as SBR reported. All in all, it has been a good year for Bally; having been awarded an interactive gaming license in Nevada earlier in June.
