With NFL training camps underway, the top rookies are positioning themselves within their teams and on the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award odds lists ahead of the 2022 season.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is the consensus favorite to win the award this season, but it’s far from an open-and-shut case.

Here are the odds for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award from Caesars SportsbookDraftKings Sportsbook, and FanDuel Sportsbook.

2022 NFL Rookie Power Rankings

10. Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions

Currently on the non-football injury list, Williams is still working his way back from January surgery to repair the torn ACL in his left knee. You can also add the inability to develop chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff during training camp, and the likelihood of falling behind both Amon-Ra St. Brown and DJ Chark on the depth chart to the list of obstacles ahead of Williams.

It shouldn’t surprise if we fast forward a year and Williams is regarded as the top wide receiver from the 2022 NFL Draft entering next season, though.

9. Treylon Burks, WR, Tennessee Titans

Asthma and conditioning concerns held Burks off the field for most of Tennessee’s offseason programs, and while he’s reportedly in shape ahead of training camp, the missed time is concerning. Opportunity awaits, but the 18th overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft needs to seize it.

Burks has a chance to lead NFL rookies in targets, which places him on the inside track to posting a monster freshman campaign. He just needs to stay on the field and capitalize.

8. Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers

The strikes are beginning to add up for Watson. He’s currently on the PUP list and set to miss time following an offseason medical procedure, and Watson was already considered a raw prospect coming out of an FCS program in North Dakota State.

Missing extended time to add valuable reps with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers could be a crippling third strike.

7. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

With the incumbent starting running back Rashaad Penny expected to maintain a hefty workload to open the season, Walker could struggle to gain traction early on. However, Penny’s six starts and 119 rushes last year were both career-high marks, as he’s battled injuries throughout his four-year career.

Obviously, there are huge question marks surrounding the Seattle offense in the post Russell Wilson era, so Walker has at least a couple of obstacles in his way.

6. Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints

Speaking of question marks, the Saints have a crowded WR room, and QB Jameis Winston is working his way back from a torn ACL in his right knee in Week 8 last season. New Orleans will also be without long-time head coach Sean Peyton.

Olave should quickly become a staple in the aerial attack, though. He offers the speed to stretch defenses that veteran WRs Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry lack at this stage of their respective careers.

5. Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets

While there’s potential that Wilson plays second fiddle to fellow WR Elijah Moore, there is also the potential of opposing defenses allotting more attention to covering Moore. As a result, there’s likely a wide range of outcomes for the rookie wideout, especially considering erratic QB Zach Wilson showed limited poise as a rookie last year.

Still, Wilson’s collegiate resume jumps off the page, and he boasts the athleticism to win all over the field.

4. Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets

Set to make an immediate impact in the Gang Green offense, Hall should split time with sophomore RB Michael Carter. Hall projects to handle more of the early-down work, whereas Carter showed well as a receiver last season as a rookie with 36 receptions.

Just note, Hall’s upside could quickly be stifled by a potentially inefficient New York offense.

3. Malik Willis, QB, Tennessee Titans

It’s a long shot Willis finishes the 2022 season as the best offensive rookie in the league, as he’s set to begin the season in a backup role behind starting QB Ryan Tannehill. Still, if the 34-year-old Tannehill were to miss time, Willis would have an opportunity to show off his dual-threat potential.

Willis’ blazing speed and big arm could quickly propel him into the Rookie of the Year Award conversation.

2. Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Reportedly at full health to open training camp, London should quickly earn a considerable target share in the Atlanta passing attack. After all, it’s an underwhelming collection of pass-catchers behind second-year tight end Kyle Pitts and London.

Additionally, with the Falcons unlikely to earn many victories and also trail in a lot of games Atlanta will need to attack plenty through the air.

1. Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

While the Steelers might end up starting the year with QB Mitch Trubisky behind center in Week 1, rookie signal caller Kenny Pickett is the consensus favorite to be the Offensive Rookie of the Year winner this season for a reason.

Pittsburgh has a promising group of WRs, and second-year TE Pat Freiermuth hauled in seven touchdown passes last year so look for Pickett to hit the ground running. The Pittsburgh Panther alum just needs to secure the starting job sooner than later.
