02.18.2013 has been added to the SBR ratings guide with a mark of D. Last week, SBR reported that two PointCasino players had their winnings confiscated after it was alleged they were in violation of promotion terms. The Northern German State of Schleswig-Holstein has handed out four new poker and casino licenses. Operators Unibet and Merukur-Win received one of each of the Schleswig-Holstein iGaming licenses. There was some doubt as to whether more licenses would be issued amid the confusion of a German high court ruling that the territory's position on gaming is in violation of the State Gaming Treaty.

A Unibet Sportsbook (SBR rating C) player claims his winnings have been confiscated. The player deposited €200 for a Christmas bonus promotion which offered a 25% bonus. The player increased his balance to €512 with a successful NFL wager on the Ravens vs Broncos. Unibet asked for and received ID documents. Unibet is then alleged to have closed the player's account.

There is no better way to spend Valentine's Day than inside Trenton federal court. Just ask the major sports leagues, US Justice Department and New Jersey attorneys. The three sides met and gave oral arguments in front of District Court Judge Michael Shipp related to the constitutionality of a federal statute preventing the state from accepting sports wagers in Atlantic City.

Atlantic City Sportsbooks update, SBR iGaming News

Sportsbook gives an SBR iGaming News update for Friday, February 15th, 2013. The headliner of today's show is an update on the legal case involving New Jersey, the major sports leagues, and the US Justice Department over NJ plans to begin accepting sports wagers in Atlantic City. Also covered in the segment is online poker news and general iGaming news.


Update 12:30PM ET: Full online access has been restored to the Pinnacle Sportsbook website. Players are free to log-in and place wagers as normal. Pinnacle Sportsbook (SBR rating A+) is currently performing maintenance. Players are unable to log-in during this period. SBR will update this report as the maintenance is complete.


An Alliance Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player reports that a $15,176 payout requested on 25 January 2013 has yet to be received. The user claimed in a dispute filed with Sportsbook that after making multiple inquiries to Alliance he still has no idea when he will receive his payout. SBR will update this report after discussing with management.

02.12.2013 is offering players a 100% first deposit bonus up to €200.  What players don’t realize is that their winnings are at risk of being confiscated for breaching any one of the vaguely worded promotion terms: A tactic PointCasino has used to fleece two players of their winnings so far. The Borgata Hotel and Casino plans to be the first US casino to allow guests to gamble using hotel room televisions. The feature is scheduled to go live as of Monday February 18th. This announcement comes four days after NJ Gov. Christie's conditional veto of an internet gambling bill, which would allow the casinos to use similar technology to permit mobile betting throughout their facility.

Full Tilt Poker hasn't wasted much time dusting itself off after being floored by the US Department of Justice; before PokerStars' stepped in to salvage the company. Since PokerStars' acquisition, FTP has managed to become the second most highly trafficked poker site—behind only parent company PokerStars— in ring game liquidity, and is now operating a site.

Sportsbook gives a video update discussing New Jersey Chris Christie's recent conditional veto of legislation permitting internet gambling at Atlantic City casinos. This is the second time Gov. Christie has passed on signing such a bill into law. Also covered in today's video is the completion of a major Skril acquisition and news from the AGCC.


Miss Cleo couldn't figure New Jersey Governor Chris Christie out. For the second time in two years, Christie passed on signing a bill into law that would legalize internet gambling in Atlantic City casinos. Many New Jerseyans believed the second time was the charm and that the ink would be dry on the legislation by now. Then again, can anyone predict a guy who eats donuts on Letterman?


The BetMaker (SBR rating B+) betting exchange has been merged with Bookmaker Sportsbook (SBR rating A+). Players were notified yesterday morning that they would be able to log-in to Bookmaker by adding an "L" to the end of their account IDs. All players balances are expected to be transferred within 24 hours to the new system. SBR will update this report as the transfers are confirmed as completed.

An InstantActionSports (SBR rating D+) payout complaint has been received. A player asked for a £2,500 payout on January 10th via Skrill. IAS addressed the delay with the user by claiming that it was waiting for a payment to post to the eWallet account before withdrawals could be processed. Three weeks later, the player has still not been paid and no new updates were given.


The (SBR rating D+) website has been shut down following the approval of a court order issued by the Attorney General's office of Ontario, Canada. The website was reportedly controlled by several individuals operating from the Thornhill area. A search warrant was executed at a gambling event held at Le Perc Banquet Hall, where several arrests were made.


A player with an account at both Instant Action Sports (SBR rating D+) and 24SportsWeb has provided SBR with a payment receipt from Skrill which appears to contradict IAS' claim of never providing processing to 24SportsWeb players. The pay-from account in both IAS and 24SportsWeb payouts was exactly the same. IAS management has yet to address this.

On January 12th, SBR reported that a BetClic Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player filed an account dispute. The player claimed that his account was suspended six months ago with a €151 balance. He also claimed his documents were verified. SBR followed up with BetClic Sportsbook management for comment on this case.
